Introduction of Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme

• Time to Time every government runs and operates welfare schemes for the people of their respective State.
• This schemes benefits every faction of society.
• The one faction of society which needed assistance every time is Students.
• Lots of students belongs to low income group which are not so financially well to pursue their higher education.
• To assist these faction of students, Government of Andhra Pradesh launches financial assistance scheme called Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• This scheme is the part of Andhra Pradesh Government’s Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.
• Both the schemes runs consecutively with each other.
• Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme is the fees reimbursement scheme of Andhra Pradesh Government and Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme is the financial assistance scheme which provide monetary help to students.
• The main aim behind launching Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme is to provide financial assistance to eligible students for their expenses incurred during their study time.
• Department of Social Welfare of Andhra Pradesh Government is the responsible department of Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• This Scheme is also known as Andhra Pradesh Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme or Andhra Pradesh Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• Under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme, Government of Andhra Pradesh will provide financial assistance to eligible students.
• The following financial assistance will be provided to the students under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme :-
  • Rs. 20,000/- per year to Degree Students.
  • Rs. 15,000/- per year to Polytechnic Students.
  • Rs. 10,000/- per year to ITI Students.
• Students can use this financial assistance for their expenses incurred at the time of their study.
• This Scheme is only for the specific category students and only those students can avail the benefit under Andhra Pradesh Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme. The categories are :-
  • Schedule Tribe.
  • Schedule Caste.
  • Kapu Category.
  • Minority.
  • Physically Challenged.
  • Economically Backward Class.
  • Backward Class.
• Financial Assistance will only be provided in the bank account of student’s mother.
• Andhra Pradesh Government will paid the the financial assistance to students twice in a year in two installments in the month of July and December.
• There is no need to apply separately for Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• Students only need to apply for Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.
• Once they applied for Vidya Deevena Scheme, they are automatically entitle to receive financial assistance under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.

Benefits Provided to Selected Students

• The financial assistance provided to eligible students under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme are as follows :-
  

  Student Category	Financial Assistance
  Degree Students	Rs. 20,000/- Per Year.
  Polytechnic Students	Rs. 15,000/- Per Year.
  ITI Students	Rs. 10,000/- Per Year.

Eligibility Conditions Needs to be Fulfilled

• The following Eligibility Criteria is set by the Andhra Pradesh Government to avail the benefit of Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme are as follows :-
  

  Every Students Eligible for Fee Reimbursement under Jagananna Vidya Deeevena Scheme are automatically Eligible for Financial Assistance under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.

Ineligibility Conditions for Students

• The ineligibility criteria for Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme is same as Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme. For clarity if any student falls within any of the category mentioned below then he/she are not eligible to apply :-
  

  Students studying in Private or Deemed University. Students studying Correspondence or Distance Learning Courses. Students secured admission through the following quota :- Management Quota. NRI Quota. Sports Quota. Post Graduate Students studying in Private Colleges are not eligible. Students who has Four Wheeler in the Family. Students who has Tax Payer in the Family. If Students Family holds/ owns a property having built up area of more than 1500 Square Feet.

• Students studying in the following courses are eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme :-
  

  B.E/ B.Tech. B. Ed. Polytechnic. ITI. B. Pharmacy. MBA. M. Pharmacy. M.Tech. Other Degree Courses. Other Post Graduate Courses.

Documents Required to be Uploaded

• The following documents will be mandatorily required to avail the benefit of Financial Assistance under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme :-
  

  Resident Proof of Andhra Pradesh. Student’s Aadhar Card. Family’s Income Certificate or Rice Card. Proof of Admission in College. The below mentioned Self Declarations will also be submitted :- That No Family Member is Government Pensioner or Current Employee. That No Family Member is a Tax Payer. That Students Family should not hold Property more than 1500 Square Feet. That Student Family should not hold Agriculture Land more than mentioned in Guidelines. Student’s Mother Bank Account Details.

Application Process of Scheme

• There is no need to apply separately under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme and Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme are available for students concurrently.
• This means that students only has to apply for Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme to avail the benefit of Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• Once the application under Vidya Deevena Scheme got accepted, the financial assistance under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme will also be provided to students as per the norms.

Key Features of Scheme

• Maintaining 75% of attendance in one academic year is mandatory for the release of financial assistance.
• Those Students who have four wheeler in their house are not eligible to apply for Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• But there is an exception in this scheme that if the student have any of the below mentioned vehicle then they are eligible to apply for Vasathi Deevena Scheme :-
  • Tractors.
  • Taxies.
  • Auto Rickshaws.
• Government Sanitary Worker Family or Group D Employees are eligible for financial assistance under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
• Students have to renew their application every year to make sure they continue to receive financial assistance.
• Students studying in Telangana or Other State are also eligible to apply for financial assistance under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.
