Assam Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme

To encourage students of Assam to complete their higher secondary education after class 10th, the Government of Assam started the Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme, in which financial assistance of Rs. 16,000/- will be provided. Introduction of Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Government of Assam started lots of welfare schemes for the students to encourage them to study.
• One of the major welfare schemes started in the field of education back then in the year 2005 was “Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme”.
• The main aim of the Assam Government in starting this scheme is to encourage students to complete their basic education and pursue higher education for a better future.
• Earlier when this scheme was launched, the name of this scheme was “Anundoram Borooah Cash cum Laptop Award Scheme.
• A laptop or cash instead of a laptop was provided in the initial phase of this scheme.
• At present, Government of Assam will provided in hand cash assistance to all eligible students under Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme.
• This scheme is implemented by the Assam Government’s Department of Secondary Education,
• The other major names of which this scheme is well known of are “Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme (ARBAS) 2024” or “Arundoram Barooah Cash Assistance Scheme” or “Assam ARBAS Scheme”.
• Every student who passed class 10th/ HSLC Examination with 75% or more marks are eligible to get one time financial assistance under Anundoram Borooah Scheme.
• Assam Government will provide cash assistance of Rs. 16,000/- through DBT mode to students selected under Anundoram Barooah Cash Award Scheme.
• Students can apply for a cash award from the 15th of July 2024.

Benefits Provided to Students

• Class 10th Passed Students of Assam who secured 75% or more marks will get the following benefits from the Assam Government under the Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme :-
  

  Lump sum financial Assistance will be provided to each meritorious student. Financial Assistance of Rs. 16,000/- as a Cash Award will be provided.

Eligibility Conditions Set for Students

• Government of Assam sets the following eligibility conditions for students in order to provide them the benefit of Anundoram Borooah Cas Award Scheme :-
  

  The beneficiary Student should be Assam State’s Permanent Resident. Beneficiary Student should have 75% or more marks in the Class 10th (HSLC) Examination 2024.

• Beneficiary Students will have to mandatorily upload below below-mentioned documents at the time of filling the online application form of Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme of Assam :-
  

  Domicile of Assam or Any Residence Proof. Aadhar Card of Student. Mobile Number and Email ID of Student. Student Bank Account Details. 1 Passport Size Photograph. HSLC (Class 10th) Documents.

What is the Application Process for Students

• Online Application Form of Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme is available on the Bidyarthi Portal of the Assam Government.
• Registration is must every student.
• Student has to fill the following details in the Registration Form of Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme :-
  • HSLC Number.
  • HSLC Roll Number.
  • Registration Number of HSLC.
  • Student Email ID.
  • Student Mobile Number. (Should be linked with Aadhar Card Number)
• Bidyarthi Portal will verify the mobile number of a student by sending the OTP.
• Once the Mobile Number is successfully verified, click on the Submit Button.
• Bidyarthi Portal will send the User Name and Password to the mobile number of the Student.
• Use the received user name and password and Login in to the Bidyarthi Portal.
• Fill out the Online Application Form of to apply for the Anundoram Borooah Scheme.
• The required documents should be uploaded.
• Now, submit the Application Form after previewing it.
• The submitted Application Form will be verified by the officials of the secondary education department.
• A list of students selected for financial assistance under the Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme will be published on the Bidyarthi Portal.
• Cash Award of Rs. 16,000/- will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary student.
• Secondary Education Department of Assam is accepting applications for the Cash Award under the Anundoram Borooah Cash Award Scheme from 15th July 2024.
• And the last date to apply for cash award under Anundoram Barooah Cash Award Scheme is 25th of July 2024.
