  • Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana is a marriage assistance scheme introduced by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 2006.
  • The old name of this scheme is “Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana”.
  • The primary aim of this scheme is to support poor and destitute families who face financial difficulties in arranging their daughters’ marriages.
  • Through this initiative, the state government seeks to reduce the economic burden on weaker sections of society and ensure dignified marriage support.
  • The scheme is implemented at the ground level by the Department of Social Justice and Disabled Persons Welfare.
  • Mass marriage events are organised by local authorities such as Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and District Panchayats, where multiple couples get married together under government supervision.

Online Application Process through MP Vivah Portal

  • The Government of Madhya Pradesh provides an online facility that allows eligible brides to apply for financial assistance under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.
  • Applicants can complete the registration process through the Official Vivah Portal launched by the state government.
  • To begin, the applicant must visit the portal and select the registration option.
  • The registration link for the scheme remains active only for a limited period each year, so applicants must apply within the given time window announced by the government.
  • After accessing the portal, the applicant needs to fill out the online application form carefully and upload all required documents in PDF format.
  • Before final submission, the applicant should review all the entered details and then submit the application form online.

  • Applicants can collect the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana Application Form free of cost from the following offices :-
    • Gram Panchayat or Ward Panchayat Office in rural areas.
      Nagar Nigam, Nagar Palika, or Nagar Parishad Office in urban areas.
  • After collecting the form, the applicant must fill it carefully, ensuring that all details are correct and complete.
  • All required documents should be properly attached along with the filled application form.
  • Once completed, the applicant needs to submit the form along with the documents to the same office from which it was obtained.
  • The concerned officials will verify the submitted details and forward the application for approval to the Chief Executive Officer of the Panchayat in rural areas or to the Commissioner’s Office in urban areas.
  • After approval, the selected beneficiaries will receive information about the date and time of the marriage ceremony through SMS on their registered mobile number.
