Pedalandariki Illu Scheme popularly known as Andhra Pradesh Housing Scheme was started int the year 2020. The main objective of this scheme is to provide free of cost houses to all homeless people of Andhra Pradesh. Introduction of Pedalandariki Illu Scheme

• Owning a house in Andhra Pradesh is luxury thing to possess.
• It is a dream of every person to own his/her house.
• But due to skyrocketing land prices and high cost of construction, the dream of owning a house remains a dream.
• To fullfill the dream of homeless people, Government of Andhra Pradesh will take a major step by starting Andhra Pradesh Pedalandariki Illu Scheme.
• Pedalandariki Illu Scheme is one of the scheme of Andhra Pradesh Government under its NAVARATNALU Program.
• This scheme is also known as Andhra Pradesh Housing Scheme or Andhra Pradesh Free Housing Scheme or Andhra Pradesh Housing for All Scheme.
• But the official name of this scheme is Pedalandariki Illu Scheme.
• This scheme was launched by the Andhra Pradesh Government in the year 2020.
• The main objective behind launching Andhra Pradesh Pedalandariki Illu Scheme is :-
  • To provide housing site or housing patta to landless people.
  • To help them constructing their own house on the allotted land.
  • To increase the standard of living of low income group of Andhra Pradesh.
• The responsible agency to implement and run Andhra Pradesh Pedalandariki Illu Scheme in State is State Housing Corporation of Andhra Pradesh.
• Free of Cost Ready to Move Houses will be provided under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme to the eligible beneficiaries.
• Government of Andhra Pradesh will provide 25,00,000/- constructed houses in the preliminary phase of this scheme.
• The houses constructed under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme has :-
  • 1 Bedroom.
  • 1 Hall.
  • 1 Kitchen.
  • 1 Toilet.
• Andhra Pradesh Pedalanadariki Illu Scheme will be implemented by State Housing Corporation in whole of Andhra Pradesh in two phases :-
• House Site or Housing Patta will be allotted in the name of Applicant in the first phase.
• Then Houses will be constructed on that allotted Housing Site or Housing Patta.
• All the cost of construction of houses under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme will be borne by the Andhra Pradesh Government.
• It is estimated that the construction cost of houses under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme will be Rs. 1,80,000/- (One Lakh Eighty Thousand Rupees Only).
• If the Applicant is the resident of Urban Area of Andhra Pradesh then his/her annual family income should be below Rs. 3,00,000/- (Three Lakh Rupees Only)
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for free of cost house under this scheme through Pedalandariki Illu Scheme Application Form.

Benefits Provided to Beneficiaries

• The below mentioned benefits will be provided to the eligible residents of under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme :-
  

  Housing Site or Housing Patta will be allotted in the name of Applicant. Free of Cost Construction of House on allotted House Site. 90 Days of Employment under MGNREGS.

Eligibility Conditions Set for Applicants

• The following Eligibility Criteria is set by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to avail the benefit of Pedalandariki Illu Scheme are as follows :-
  

  Eligibility in Rural Area :- Permanent Resident of Andhra Pradesh. Applicant must be belong to BPL Category or have White Ration Card. Applicant does not own his/her own house or house site. Applicant should have the following maximum land holdings :- Ac. 2.5 cts of Wet Land. Ac. 10.00 cts of Dry Land. Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any previous government housing scheme. Eligibility in Urban Area :- Permanent Resident of Andhra Pradesh. Applicant does not own his/her own house or house site. Applicant should have the following maximum land holdings :- Ac. 2.5 cts of Wet Land. Ac. 10.00 cts of Dry Land. Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any previous government housing scheme. The annual family income of applicant should be below Rs. 3,00,000/-.

Documents Required at the Time of Apply

• The following documents will be required to avail the benefit of free house under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme :-
  

  Pedalandariki Illu Scheme Application Form. Domicile of Andhra Pradesh. Any One Residence Proof (If Domicile is not Available) :- Voter Identity Card. Birth Certificate. Passport. Aadhar Card of Applicant. White Ration Card of a Family. Income Certificate. Bank Account Details of Applicant. Certificate of No House.

How Beneficiary Can Apply to Get House

• The only way to apply for free of cost house unde Pedalandariki Illu Scheme is through Pedalandariki Illu Scheme Application Form.
• Free of cost Application Form will be made available in the following offices :-
  • Village Secretariat Office.
  • Ward Secretariat Office.
• Collect the application form and fill it properly.
• Attach all the required documents.
• And submit the application form along with all the documents in the same secretariat office.
• The officials i.e. Village or Ward Volunteers will verify the application form and documents and make a list of eligible beneficiaries.
• The list of eligible beneficiaries will be published by the officials in the secretariat office.
• The final list of beneficiaries will be finalizes by the official of Gram Sabha or Ward Sabha.
• Then the final list will be forwarded in the office of District Collector or Commissioner for final approval.
• Once the District Collector approved the final list, then the patta will be soon released in the name of beneficiary.

Key Features of Scheme

• Housing Site or Housing Patta allotted to beneficiary will only be from Government Lands.
• Beneficiary can also avail the benefit of 90 days work under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme.
• The area in which houses constructed under Pedalandariki Illu Scheme are :-
  • 340 Square Feet is the Plinth Area.
  • Bedroom, Hall, Kitchen and Toilet will be constructed in 272 Square Feet Area.
  • Verandah is in 68 Square Feet Area.
• Government of Andhra Pradesh will issue Illu Passbook to beneficiaries to record received cash and material.
• Constructed Houses under Pedalandarki Illu Scheme will be known as part of YSR Jagananna Colonies.
• According to Government sources, construction of more than 13 lakh houses has been completed.
