Introduction of Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyana Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Bharatiya Janta Party announced lots of welfare scheme for the people of Chhattisgarh at the time of election.
• After winning election, the current BJP led Chhattisgarh Government started fulfilling their election promise one at a time.
• Mahtari Vandan Scheme and Mahtari Shakti Loan Scheme is already started by government for the welfare of women of Chhattisgarh State.
• On 20th of January 2025, the Chhattisgarh Government fulfilled another pre-election promise by starting “Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana”.
• The main aim behind starting this scheme is to support landless agricultural labourers and other beneficiaries who does not have their own cultivable agricultural land.
• The plan of Chhattisgarh Government is to stablise the income of agricultural laborers by providing them financial support.
• Yearly financial assistance will be provided by Government of Chhattisgarh to all eligible agricultural labourers under Deendalyal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana.
• Each landless agricultural laborer and other beneficiaries will get yearly financial assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per year under Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Scheme.
• Only those agricultural laborers are eligible to get financial assistance under this scheme who doesn’t own any type of cultivable agricultural land.
• Apart from seasonal agricultural laborers, landless barbers, cobblers, carpenter, shepherds, washermen, gunia, bega, majhi families, priests of tribal temples are also eligible to get financial assistance of Rs. 10,000/- under this scheme.
• Around 5,62,112 landless agricultural laborers received financial assistance of Rs. 562 crore 11 lakh 20 thousand at the time of its launch.

• Registration Details of this scheme can be checked online by entering their Registration Number or Aadhaar Number or Mobile Number or Name on the Official Portal.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Government of Chhattisgarh will provide the following benefits to all eligible landless agricultural laborers who doesn’t have their own cultivable agricultural lands under Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyana Yojana :-
  • Yearly Financial Assistance will be provided to Landless Agricultural Labourers and Other Beneficiaries.
  • Rs. 10,000/- per year in installments will be provided to all Eligible Beneficiaries.
  • Financial Assistance will be distributed through Bank Transfer or through Cheque.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Yearly financial assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per year will be provided by Chhattisgarh Government to those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana :-
  

  Agricultural Labourers are Eligible to Apply. Agricultural Labourer should be a Permanent Resident of Chhattisgarh State. Agricultural Labourers should be Landless and not have his/ her own Cultivable Agricultural Land. Apart from Landless Agricultural Labourers, the following beneficiaries are also eligible to get Rs. 10,000/- yearly under Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana :- Cobbler. Barber. Blacksmith. Carpenter. Shepherd. Washermen. Bega, Gunia, Majhi Families. Landless Families related to Pauni Pasari Systems. Priests of Tribal Temples in Schedule Tribe Area.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Every Eligible Landless Agricultural Labourer and other beneficiaries will have to attach the following documents with the Application Form of Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana :-
  • Domicile or Residence Proof of Chhattisgarh State.
  • Beneficiary Aadhaar Card.
  • Beneficiary Voter Identity Card.
  • Self Declaration or Income Certificate from the concerned Officer.
  • 1 Passport Size Photograph.
  • Mobile Number or Email.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Trade Certificate for Other Beneficiaries.
  • Landless Agricultural Labourer Certificate.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Every Landless Agricultural Laborer’s and other eligible beneficiaries will get the benefit of yearly financial assistance of Rs. 10,000/- under Chhattisgarh Government’s Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana.
• Beneficiaries registered under the previous congress government’s Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Nyay Yojana is automatically eligible and get yearly assistance under this scheme.
• Remaining beneficiaries will have to registered themeselve under this scheme in order to get yearly financial support.
• Application Form of Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana can be collected from the office of Gram Sabha or Gram Panchayat or from the District Office of Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
• Take Application Form, fill it correctly without any mistakes and attach all the required documents.
• Now submit the Application Form along with all the documents in the same Gram Panchayat or Gram Sabha Office.
• District Agriculture Officer (DAO) or Village Development Officer (VDO) will scrutinize the received application form and documents.
• Details of eligible landless agricultural farmers will then be entered on the Official Portal of Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana.
• Selected Beneficiaries list will then forward to concerned department for further approval.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per year will then transferred in the bank account of beneficiaries in instalments under Chhattisgarh Government’s Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana.
• Landless Agricultural Labourers can check their registration details through their Registration Number or Name or Mobile Number or Aadhaar Number on the Official Portal.
