Introduction of Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme: A Brief Insight
- Assembly Elections of NCT of Delhi were concluded on 05-02-2025.The
- Election Commission of India announced the result on 08-02-2025.
- Bharatiya Janta Party after 26 years of long gap managed to win the Delhi assembly election.
- BJP announced lots of pre-election promises as welfare schemes for the people of Delhi.
- The major election promise announcements are “Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana”, “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme”, “Atal Canteen Yojana” “Mahila Samriddhi Yojana” and “Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana”.
- In a step by step manner, current BJP led Delhi Government will soon launch every single scheme in Delhi for all eligible beneficiaries.
- With an objective to encourage students to pursue higher education after class 12th and to support them a new scheme will going to be launched in Delhi.
- The name of the Scheme is “Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme”.
- This scheme will specifically focus on Students of Class 12th who recently got passed and want to pursue higher education.
- Delhi Government will provide free of cost laptops to all eligible class 12th passed students under its Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme”.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Free of Cost Laptops will be provided to only those students of NCT of Delhi who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme :-
- Permanent Resident Students of Delhi are Eligible.
- The student should have Passed Class 12th.
- The student should be a Meritorious One.
- The remaining Eligibility Criteria will be released after its launch.
Documents Required to be Attached
- Students will have to attach the below-mentioned documents with the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme Application Form :-
- Domicile Certificate or Any Residence Proof of Delhi.
- Aadhaar Card of Student.
- Class 10th and Class 12th Marksheet and Certificate.
- Family Income Certificate.
- Passport Size Photograph of Student.
How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme is the election promise of the Bharatiya Janta Party which was announced at the time assembly election.
- BJP is now under obligation to start this scheme for class 12th passed students as soon as possible.
- Cabinet will be formed soon and took an oath of secrecy.
- Concerned Department of the Delhi Government will then draft the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme Official Guidelines.
- Department will then submit it to the cabinet for further approval.
- Once cabinet gave its approval, this scheme will launch in whole of NCT of Delhi.
- Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme Application Process will be released with its guidelines.
- Concerned Deepartment will decide the mode of accepting the application.
- Official Portal of the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme will be launched if the application mode is online.
- Whereas in case of mode of application is offline, then offline application form will be made available in concerned colleges or education department district office.
- To get free laptop under Delhi Government’s Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme, beneficiary students will have to wait little bit more till its launch.
