ANM Nurses, Anganwadi and ASHA Workers will now receive a one-time financial incentive of Rs. 1,000/- on the birth of a girl child in the State under Lado Sakhi Yojana of the Haryana Government.

Introduction of Haryana Lado Sakhi Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Haryana Government launched the Lado Sakhi Yojana on 28th of July 2025.
• The other name of this scheme is “Saheli Karyakarta Protsahan Yojana”.
• Lado Sakhi Yojana was specifically started for ANM Nurses, ASHA/ Angawadi Ground workers who are working day and night for the safety of the people.
• Haryana Government has two main objectives behind launching the Lado Sakhi Yojana in the State.
• The first one is to provide extra care to pregnant women of the State during the whole period of pregnancy.
• And the second one is to support the ground workers financially so that they will be encouraged to put more effort by taking care of the pregnant women.
• This scheme is implemented by the Women and Child Development Department of the Haryana Government.
• Haryana Government under its Lado Sakhi Yojana (Saheli Karyakarta Yojana) will provide a financial incentive to ASHA Worker, Anganwadi Worker and ANM Nurses on the birth of each girl child in the state.
• Rs. 1,000/- financial incentive is applicable on the birth of each girl child in the state under Lado Sakhi Yojana, which is to be paid to Anganwadi/ ASHA Worker and ANM Nurses directly in their bank account.
• This financial incentive will encourage them to work harder for the safety and security of pregnant women.
• To avail the benefit of the financial incentive of Rs. 1,000/- for per girl child under the Lado Sakhi Scheme of the Haryana Government, the beneficiary ground worker will only have to report the secure institutional birth of a girl child to the authorities.
• The beneficiary can contact the Chief Medical Officer or the District Office of Women and Child Development in case any help or assistance is required regarding the scheme.
• From 25-092025, Women Applicants can also avail the benefit of financial assistance of Rs. 2,100/- per month under Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Scheme of Haryana Government.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Haryana Government will provide the following benefits to all eligible ASHA/ Angawadi Workers and ANS Nurses under its Lado Sakhi Yojana :-
  • Financial incentives will be provided on the birth of every girl child.
  • Rs. 1,000/- per girl child birth will be provided to eligible beneficiaries.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• The benefit of a financial incentive of Rs. 1,000/- on the birth of per girl child under the Haryana Government’s Lado Sakhi Yojana will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the scheme :-
  

  Permanent Resident Applicants of Haryana are Eligible to Apply. Benefits of Lado Lakshmi Yojana will be provided only to the following persons :- Anganwadi Worker. ASHA Worker. ANM Nurse.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Applicant Anganwadi/ ASHA Worker and ANM Nurse will be required to submit the below-mentioned documents at the time of claiming the incentive amount of Rs. 1,000/- under Lado Sakhi Yojana on the birth of a girl chid :-
  • Aadhaar Card of Applicant.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • PPP ID.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Details of Every Girl Child Born.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• There is no need to apply separately for the Lado Sakhi Yojana (Saheli Karyakarta Yojana) of the Haryana Government.
• Anganwadi/ASHA Workers and ANM Nurses will have to perform their usual tasks by registering pregnant women, enrolling them in the PM Matru Vandana Yojana, providing them with nutritious food, regularly checking their health and weight, ensuring they receive the necessary vaccinations, and ensuring they obtain a MAMTA Card.
• All the things mentioned above will be required for the well-being of the pregnant woman.
• Now the ANM, ASHA or Anganwadi Worker will have to report the birth of the girl child to the Women and Child Development Department of the Haryana Government in the prescribed format.
• They have to fill in all the details about the Anganwadi/ ASHA Worker and ANM Nurse in the Lado Sakhi Yojana Application Form at the time of forwarding the details of the birth of a girl child.
• Officials of the Women and Child Development Department will scrutinize and verify the received details.
• After verification, the financial incentive amount of Rs. 1,000/- will be transferred in the account of the beneficiary as promised by the Haryana Government under Lado Sakhi Yojana.
