Introduction of Jeevan Raksha Yojana: A Brief Insight
- Delhi Residents will vote to elect their next government on 7th of January 2025.
- Election Result of Delhi Legislative Assembly will be announced by Election Commission of India on 8th of February 2025.
- Every Political Party started their campaign for elections and trying every trick to secure their votes to confirm their win.
- Indian National Congress popularly known as Congress Party separately contesting Delhi Election and already announced lots of welfare scheme to woo voters.
- Annonced welfare schemes of Congress Party is a direct competition with the welfare scheme announced by Aam Aaadmi Party.
- Congress Party recently announced two major welfare schemes as their election promise to the people of Delhi.
- First Scheme is “Pyaari Didi Yojana” in which financial assistance of Rs. 2,500/- per month will be provided.

- After Delhi Legislative Election, if Indian National Congress (Congress) Party wins the election with majority and forms the Government then the Residents of Delhi will get the below-mentioned benefits under Jeevan Raksha Yojana :-
- Free of Cost Family Health Insurance Cover will be Provided.
- Health Insurance Cover of Rs. 25 Lakh will be given to each Eligible Families.
- Each Family will get Free of Cost Treatment up to Rs. 25 Lakh per Year in Government and Empanelled Private Hospitals.
- Premium of Jeevan Raksha Yojana Health Insurance Cover will be paid by Government if formed.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Free of Cost Health Insurance in which free cashless treatment up to Rs. 25,00,000/- will be provided to those residents of Delhi who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of Jeevan Raksha Yojana :-
- Permanent Residents of Delhi are Eligible to Apply.
- Beneficiary should have Aadhar Card and Voter Identity Card.
- The Annual Income of Beneficiary Family should not be more than Rs. 8,00,000/-.
- Remaining Eligibility Criteria will be released after its implementation.

- Documents that are expected to be needed at the time of Registration under Jeevan Raksha Yojana and at the time availing the benefit of free of cost treatment are mentioned below :-
- Permanent Residence Proof of Delhi.
- Aadhar Card of Beneficiary.
- Voter ID Card.
- Mobile Number for Registration.
- Self Declaration or Income Certificate.
How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Jeevan Raksha Yojana is just a pre-election promise of Congress Party to secure their votes and to make sure their win in Delhi Election.
- This pre-election promise to provide free health care treatment up to Rs. 25,00,000/- to all residents of Delhi will only completed if Congress Party secure their win in the upcoming Delhi Legislative Assembly Election.
- So right now what would be the application process of Jeevan Raksha Yojana is not clear yet.
- Congress Government will decide after winning the election whether accept Application Form through Online mode or through Offline mode.
- If the application mode is offline then Application Form of Jeevan Raksha Yojana will be available free of cost at Cheif Medical Officer Office or in any Government Hospital.
