Introduction of Jharkhand Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• There is a dream of every young student to be a government employee and take part in the nation-building process.
• But due to high competition and low preparation levels, most of them are not able to achieve their dream.
• Keeping these things in mind for the youth of Jharkhand, the Government launched “Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana” in the year 2022.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to provide a platform to aspiring students to prepare for competitive examinations in the best coaching institutes without any cost.
• Jharkhand Government, through empanelled coaching institutes, will now provide free of cost coaching for competitive examinations to eligible selected students.
• Free of cost coaching under Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana will be provided for the examinations conducted by UPSC, JPSC, Bank, RRB, and SSC.
• The period of coaching under the Government of Jharkhand’s Eklavya Prashikshan Scheme is a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 2 years.
• Apart from free of cost coaching, selected students will also get financial assistance for living expenses of Rs. 2,500/- per month during the period of coaching.
• Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana Online Registration is available on the Official Portal.
• Apply online and avail the benefits of free of cost coaching for competitive examinations and living expenses of Rs. 2,500/- per month.
• A list of Students selected under Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana will be published by the concerned department on the official portal.
• The other major welfare schemes of the Jharkhand Government that can be explored by the beneficiaries are “Maiyya Samman Yojana” or “Abua Awaas Yojana” and “Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana”.
• Girl Students can apply for the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme if they opt for engineering courses after completing their class 12^th.

• The following is the list of competitive examinations for which the free coaching will be provided to selected students under the Eklavya Prashikshan Scheme of the Government of Jharkhand, with the availability of seats :-

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Jharkhand Government under its Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana will provide the following benefits to all selected students :-
  • Free of Cost Coaching for Competitive examinations will be provided.
  • Tuition Fees to Coaching Centres will be paid by the Government.
  • Selected Students will also get financial assistance of Rs. 2,500/- per month.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Free of cost coaching for competitive examination under Eklavya Prashikshan Yojna of Jharkhand Government will be provided to only those students who meet the following eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  

  Applicant Student should be a Permanent Resident of Jharkhand. Class 10th and Class 12th should be passed from any School within Jharkhand. The Annual Family Income of a Student should not be less than Rs. 8 lakh per year or the Family should be a Beneficiary of the NFSA Act. Applicant should have completed the Eligibility Criteria of the Competitive Examination for which he/ she is preparing. Benefits of Eklavya Prashikshan Yojaan will be provided only once. Duration of Coaching should be a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 2 years. It is mandatory to maintain a minimum of 75% Attendance during the coaching program.

• Beneficiary Student will have to upload the below-mentioned documents at the time of applying for coaching for competitive examination under Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana of the Government of Jharkhand :-
  • Resident Proof of Jharkhand.
  • Ration Card or Income Certificate.
  • Aadhaar Card Number.
  • Mobile Number and Email.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Class 10^th Marksheet and Certificate.
  • Class 12^th Marksheet and Certificate.
  • Recent Color Photograph.
  • Certificate of Caste. (If Applicable)
  • Scanned Signature of Student.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• To get free of cost coaching for competitive examinations under the Jharkhand Government’s Eklavya Prashiksha Yojana, the beneficiary student will have to apply online.
• Jharkhand Government launched a dedicated portal through which students can apply for Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana Online.
• Open the portal and click on Registration.
  
• Fill in the basic details like Name, Mobile Number, Email and choose your password.
• Log in again on the portal with your Mobile Number/ Email and chosen Password.
  
• Eklavya Prashiksha Yojana Online Application Form will appear in which the beneficiary student will have to fill in the details in below-mentioned categories :-
  • Personal Details
  • Contact Details
  • Educational Qualification Details
  • Competitive Examination Details
  • Bank Account Details
• Upload all the required documents on the portal and preview the filled information.
• Submit the Ekalavya Prashikshan Yojana filled application form after checking all the details.
• Selection of Students for free coaching under the Eklavya Prashikshan Scheme will be done on the basis of their marks obtained in Class 12^th.
• A list of eligible students will be made by the Department of Higher and Technical Education and forwarded to the High-Level Committee for approval.
• Selected Students will then choose the coaching centre of their choice on the portal to take free competitive examination coaching.
• Coaching Centre will then verify the admission of the selected student.
• A coaching centre must submit monthly attendance of each student for disbursement of monthly financial assistance under the Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana of the Jharkhand Government.
• Monthly living assistance of Rs. 2,500/- provided to students under Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana will be only transferred in the bank account of the student if they secured a minimum of 75% attendance for that month.
• If any student fails to secure a minimum 75% attendance for the month, then no living expenses amount will be released to students for that particular month.
