Introduction of Lek Ladki Scheme
- Maharashtra Lek Ladki Scheme is the Flagship Scheme of Government of Maharashtra.
- It was launched in the year 2023.
- Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sh. Eknath Shinde Ji announced this scheme in his 2023-2024 budget.
- It is going to be one of the most major welfare scheme of girls in the Maharashtra.
- Some of the other names of this scheme is “Lek Ladki Yojana”.
- Under Maharashtra Lek Ladki Scheme, Government of Maharashtra will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1,01,000/- to the eligible girls in the state.
- This financial assistance of Rs. 1,01,000/- will be provided to girls in 5 different phases as mentioned below :-
- First Phase :- Rs. 5,000/- when Girl Child Born.
- Second Phase :- Rs. 6,000/- when Girl take Admission in Class 1st.
- Third Phase :- Rs. 7,000/- when Girl take Admission in Class 6th.
- Fourth Phase :- Rs. 8,000/- when Girl take Admission in Class 11th.
- Fifth Phase :- Rs. 75,000/- when Girl Attain the Age of 18 Years.
- This money will be used by the girl to complete her studies and pursue for higher education without thinking the expenses in her head.
- Families holding yellow and orange ration card are eligible to apply under Maharashtra Lek Ladki Scheme.
- Maharashtra Government on 10-10-2023 gave the approval to start Lek Ladki Scheme in Maharashtra.
- If the annual family income of girl family is more than Rs. 1 lakh then she is not eligible to apply for Lek Ladki Scheme.
- Eligible Families can apply through their ASHA Worker by submitting Maharashtra Lek Ladki Scheme Application Form at the Anganwadi Centers.

Eligibility Conditions of Lek Ladki Scheme
- The following Eligibility Criteria will be set by the Government to avail the benefit of Maharashtra Lek Ladki Scheme :-
- Parents of Girl Child should be Permanent Resident of Maharashtra.
- Yellow or Saffron Ration Card Holder Households.
- Birth of a Girl Child should be on or After 1st of April 2023.
- Family Annual Income should be below Rs. 1 lakh.

- Fill the Application Form and attach the below mentioned documents :-
- Yellow or Orange Ration Card Copy.
- Aadhar Card of Parents.
