Indian Government’s Ministry of Minority Affairs provided financial assistance to those students who successfully cleared preliminary examination of UPSC Civil Services, State Civil Services, SSC CGL or CAPF Group B Examination. But Nai Udaan Scheme is closed by Central Government.

Introduction of Scheme
- Every year lakhs of applicant prepare for competitive exam to get themselves a decent government job.
- And some of them are preparing for some premier examination like Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC, State Civil Services conducted by State PSC and Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
- Somehow they manages to clear the preliminary stage of those examination and needed better guidance for the mains examination.
- But due to financial crunch they will not able to get what they needed to clear the mains examination.
- So, Government of India started Nai Udaan Scheme to provided financial assistance to those candidates who cleared the preliminary examination of above mentioned competitive exams.
- Ministry of Minority Affairs of Government of India is the responsible department of Nai Udaan Scheme.
- The main objective behind launching Nai Udaan Scheme is to support candidates financially so that they can prepare for their mains examination smoothly.
- The following financial assistance will be provided by Government of India under Nai Udaan Scheme :-
- Rs. 1,00,000/- to those who cleared Civil Services Prelims conducted by UPSC.
- Rs. 50,000/- to those who cleared Gazatted Post of State Civil Services Prelims conducted by State Public Service Commission.
- Rs. 25,000/- to those who cleared Non-Gazatted Post of State Civil Services Prelims conducted by State Public Service Commission.
- And Rs. 25,000/- to those who cleared Combined Graduate Level Prelims and CAPF Group B Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
- Only those applicants are eligible whose annual family income is not more than Rs. 8,00,000/-.
- Minority Students are only candidates who are eligible under Nai Udaan Scheme to get the financial assistance.
- Every Year 5,100 Candidates will be selected among the Minority Applicant under Nai Udaan Scheme. The Community wise seat quota under Nai Udaan Scheme is given below.
- According to Government Sources, Government of India temporarily suspended Nai Udaan Scheme till further orders.
Benefits Provided to Students
- The following monetary assistance will be provided to the Eligible Applicants under Nai Udaan Scheme :-
Examination Name Amount of Assistance Civil Services by UPSC - Rs. 1,00,000/-
Civil Services by State PSC - Rs. 50,000/- for Gazatted Post.
- Rs. 25,000/- for Non-Gazatted Post.
SSC CGL and CAPF Group B - Rs. 25,000/-
Eligibility Conditions Sets for Students
- The following eligibility is set by Government of India for the Applicants to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Nai Udaan Scheme :-
- Applicant should be belong to any of the below mentioned Minority Community :-
- Muslim.
- Sikh.
- Christian.
- Buddhist.
- Parsis.
- Jains.
- Preliminary Examination Passed Applicant of any of the following Examinations :-
- Civil Services Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
- State Civil Services Exam conducted by State Public Service Commission.
- Combined Graduate Level Exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
- Applicant Annual Family Income should not be more than Rs. 8,00,000/- per year.
- Applicant should be belong to any of the below mentioned Minority Community :-

- Scanned Photograph and Signature.
- Self Declaration Certificate of Being a Minority.
- No Financial Assistance Availing Affidavit.

- Bank Account Details.
- Any one of the below mentioned identity card of applicant is needed for identity proof :-
- Ration Card.
- Driving License.
- BPL Card.
- Passport.
- Voter ID Card.

How Students Can Apply for this Scheme
- As Nai Udaan Scheme is suspended by Government of India, Even then we are telling the apply procedure for Nai Udaan Scheme for future use.
- Candidates can apply for Nai Udaan Scheme by visiting the Service Plus Portal.
- Applicant has to Register themselves first.
- After Registration, Login in the portal with the received User Name and Password.
- Fill the Application Form of Nai Udaan Scheme correctly.
- Upload all the required documents.
- Preview the Application Form and Click on Submit Button.
- After submission, Portal will generate Application ID, save it for future reference.
- Application Form of Nai Udaan Scheme is subject to scrutiny.
- After verification, financial assistance will be transferred in the given bank account of Applicant.

Conclusion of Scheme
- Great initiative by Government of India for minority students to support them to prepare for mains examination of Civil Services Examination. But unfortunately Indian Government decided to stop Nai Udaan Scheme till further orders. This will be a major setback for students. Let’s hope that Government of India will soon again start the Nai Udaan Scheme.
