Families in Rajasthan State will now receive free medical coverage under the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAA Yojana), which provides a benefit of cashless treatment up to Rs. 25 lakh per year per family in government and empanelled hospitals.

Introduction of Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana is one of the largest healthcare scheme for the people, launched by the Rajasthan Government.
• This scheme was launched on 1^st of May 2021.
• Government’s main aim of starting this scheme is to reduce the out-of-pocket expenditure of families on medical treatment and to provide them with quality medical services from top hospitals across India.
• Rajasthan Government’s Department of Medical, Health & Family Welfare is implementing this scheme in the State with the help of the State Health Agency Authority.
• Earlier, the name of this scheme was “Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana” which was changed by the new BJP-led Rajasthan Government to “Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana” in 2024.
• Rajasthan Government will provide free of cost medical insurance coverage of Rs. 25 lakh per year to all eligible families of the State under this scheme.
• This means registered families will get free-of-cost and cashless medical treatment benefits up to Rs. 25 lakh per year under Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana.
• Benefits of free medical treatment under this scheme will be provided in government as well as empanelled private hospitals.
• There is no minimum or maximum cap on age and size of the family, each and every family member, irrespective of their age will get free medical treatment under the MAA Yojana of Rajasthan.
• Beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana are also eligible to receive benefits under this scheme.
• Registration process of this medical insurance scheme of Rajasthan can be done through SSO Portal or from E-Mitra Centre.
• Families covered under the NFSA Act and the SECC List 2011 did not have to register themselves under this scheme, they are already eligible to avail the benefits.
• The status of Registration of MAA Yojana can be checked by entering the Jan Aadhaar Card Number on the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana Official Website.
  
• Through the Official Mobile Application of MAA Yojana, beneficiaries can also search for the nearest hospital or check their registration status.
  
• Beneficiary families can also enroll themselves under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, which are major welfare schemes of the Central Government.
• Beneficiaries can call 181 in case any help or assistance is required regarding the Rajasthan Government’s Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Scheme.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Rajasthan Government will provide the following benefits to all eligible families under its Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAA) :-
  

  Free, Cashless and Paperless Medical Treatment up to Rs. 25 Lakh per year per family. The treatment covers the pre-hospitalization expenses of 5 Days and post-hospitalization expenses of 15 Days. It also includes Tests, Medicines, Consultation Charges (OPD) and 1806 Packages of 31 Special Categories of Treatment. Free of Cost Treatment will be provided in the Government and Empanelled Private Hospital. The government will pay the premium amount of insurance. Pre-existing diseases are also covered under MAA Yojana.

Services Whose Charges Are Covered under this Scheme

• Under Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Scheme of Rajasthan, the cost/ expenses of the following medical services and facilities are included for which beneficiaries will not have to pay any charges :-
  

  Registration Charges Bed Charges Admission and Nursing Charges Consultation Fees for Surgery, Anesthesia Specialist and General Physicians Expenses for Anesthesia, Blood, Oxygen, Operation Theatre etc. Cost Of Medicines Expenses of X-Rays and Diagnostic Tests etc. Expenses on Equipment Required to Protect Hospital Staff and Patients from Communicable Diseases

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Free and Cashless Medical Coverage up to Rs. 25 lakh per year per family will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the Government of Rajasthan’s Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana :-
  

  Permanent Resident Families of Rajasthan are Eligible. Beneficiary Family should belong to any of the following category :- Registered Families of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) Registered Families of Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC 2011) Small and Marginal Farmers State Government Employees on Contract Recipients of COVID-19 Ex-Gratia Benefits Registration for above mentioned category families is free of cost. Other Families can also register themselves by paying an annual premium of Rs. 850/-. Permanent Government Employees are not Eligible to apply.

Type of Beneficiary Category

• Rajasthan Government divides beneficiaries into two parts.
• The first category is of those who don’t have to pay the amount of premium. The amount of premium of Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana will be paid by the Rajasthan Government.
• The second category is those who can avail the benefit of Rajasthan’s MAA Yojana by paying the 50% amount of premium i.e. Rs. 850/- per year, the other 50% premium amount will be paid by the government.
• So below is the breakdown of each category that does not have to pay the premium amount and those that have to pay the premium amount of Ayushman Arogya Yojana of the Rajasthan Government :-
  

  Free Category Families (No Premium will be Paid)

  Small and Marginal Farmers NFSA Families SECC 2011 Families Contractual Government Employees Beneficiary of COVID-19 Ex Gratia

  Paid Category Families (Premium of Rs. 850/- per Year will be paid)

  Any Family that doesn’t have a Permanent Government Employee or Pensioner

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible families of Rajasthan can enroll themselves under India’s largest health care scheme named Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana through the below-mentioned ways :-
  • Through the Rajasthan Single Sign On Portal.
  • Through the E Mitra Centre.

Online Application Process through SSO Portal

• Online Enrolment Application Form of Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana of the Rajasthan Government is available on Rajasthan Single Sign On (SSO) Portal.
• Open the Portal and Click on Registration.
• Registration on the SSO Portal will be done through the Jan Aadhaar Card Number and the Email ID.
  
• Portal will send the User Name and Password on the Applicant’s registered Email ID.
• Login with the User Name or Password.
  
• Search for Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana and click on it.
  
• A window will appear from which the applicant will have to select Registration for MAA-Yojana.
  
• Enter your Jan Aadhar ID or Jan Aadhaar ID or Aadhaar Card.
  
• The portal will fetch the details of the family.
• Applicants will have to choose the name of a family member to enroll them under the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya (MAA) Scheme.
• Choose between the SMF (Free) or Paid Category as per the eligibility.
• Fill in the details in the application form and upload all the required documents for eKYC.
• Paid Category applicant will have to pay the premium amount of Rs. 850/- every year.
• Policy Documents will be generated by the portal after successful completion of eKYC.
• Just visit any government or empanelled private hospital and avail the benefit of cashless treatment up to Rs. 25 lakh under the Government of Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana.

Online Application Process through E Mitra Centre

• Beneficiary Applicant can also register themselves and their family members under Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana of the Rajasthan Government through E Mitra Centre.
• Visit the nearest E Mitra Centre with all the documents and contact the agent present there.
• E Mitra Centre Agent will help the applicant and fill the Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAA) on behalf of the applicant.
• Jan Aadhaar Card Number will be verified with OTP, so take your registered mobile number with you.
• The agent will provide the acknowledgement receipt to the applicant after submitting the application form for the MAA Yojana successfully.
• There will be no registration for applicants who come under the SMF option and other category applicants will have to pay Rs. 850/- annually for the CM Ayushman Arogya Yojana of the Government of Rajasthan.
• Policy Documents and MAA Yojana Health Card can be downloaded after eKYC of the Applicant.
• After that, visit any government hospital or private empanelled hospital to avail the benefits of medical coverage of up to Rs. 25 Lakh under the Rajasthan Government’s Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana.

How to Avail MAA Yojana Cashless Medical Benefit

• The beneficiary will have to visit the nearest government or empanalled private hospital to get medical treatment under Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana.
• Jan Aadhaar Card, Aadhaar Card, Bhamashah Card or Policy Documents of MAA Yojana will be required at the time of visiting the hospital.
• Each hospital has a dedicated counter for MAA yojana where the entire process from verifying the eligibility of the beneficiary to hospitalization and discharge is carried out.
• A proper health guide will be provided to each beneficiary at the hospital and biometric authentication of the patient will also be carried out.
• Treatment of the Patient will be started as per the packages available in Mukhyamantri Ayushma Arogya Yojana.
• Patients don’t have to pay a single rupee during the treatment, all the expenses incurred on treatment will be claimed by the hospital from the insurance company after the treatment is completed.
• Live Photo of the patient will be captured by the Health Guide at the time of hospitalization and discharge.
