Introduction of Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana: A Brief Insight
- Tripura Government launched the Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana in the year 2022.
- It is a girl-centric scheme. The main objective behind starting this scheme is to encourage girl students to pursue higher education after completing higher secondary education.
- Government of Tripura’s Directorate of Higher Education is implementing this scheme in the whole of State.
- Free-of-Cost Scooty will be distributed by the Tripura Government under its Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana to all eligible meritorious girl students of the state.
- Meritorious Students are those Girl Students who secure the highest marks in the Higher Secondary (Class 12th) Board Examination.
- This scheme will help the girl students to travel to their college with ease without thinking about the transportation expenses.
- Earlier under Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhar Yojana, only 100 meritorious girl students gets free-of-cost scooty.
- But on the 8th of March 2025 on the occasion of International Women’s Day and in the presence of Shri JP Nadda, Tripura Government extended the numbers to 140.
- Now 140 Meritorious Girl Students will get free-of-cost scooty under this scheme.
- It is mandatory for a girl student to take admission in any General Degree College in any course to get free scooty under this scheme.
- Meritorious Girl Students who passed the Class 12th Board Examination with the highest marks from CBSE, ICSE or Tripura State Board are eligible to apply for free scooty under Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana.
- Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana can be collected from the Office of College Administration in which girl students is studying.
- Girl Students should have to apply for free scooty when she is studying in 1st Semester of their course.
- The other major and popular names of this scheme are “Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana Tripura” or “Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Scheme Tripura” or “Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Scheme Tripura” or “Free Scooty Scheme Tripura” or “Chief Minister Kanya Atmanirbhar Scheme Tripura”.
- Girl Students can contact their college administration in case of any help or assistance required regarding the Mukhyamantri Konya Atmanirbhor Yojana of the Tripura Government.
Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- Meritorious Girl Students of Tripura who are currently studying in 1st Semester in College any course will get the following benefits from the Government of Tripura under Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana :-
- Free of Cost Scooty will be provided to all Eligible Girl Students.
- Scooty will be provided to only Top 140 Meritorious Girl Students.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Government of Tripura will provide scooty free of cost to only those students who fulfill the following eligibility conditions of Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana :-
- Girl Students are Eligible to Apply.
- Girl Students should be Currently Studying in 1st Semester of any General Degree College in any Course within Tripura State.
- Girl Students should be Meritorious One and should have secured the highest marks in the Class 12th Board Examination.
- Meritorious Girl Students from all Boards are Eligible to get Free Scooty under this scheme.
- Girl Student’s Parents or Guardians should be Permanent Residents or should be Resident of Tripura for a minimum of 10 years.
- Only the Top 140 Meritorious Girl Students across Tripura will get Free of Cost Scooty.
Documents Required to be Attached
- Meritorious Girl Students will have to attach the below-mentioned documents as per applicability with Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana Application Form and submit it in their college :-
- Student Aadhaar Card.
- Marksheet of Class 12th.
- Recent Color Passport Size Photograph.
- Madhyamik Admit Card or Birth Certificate.
- Family Income Certificate.
- Permanent Resident Tripura (PRTC) Certitficate.
- Address Proof of Guardian.
- Bank Account Details with IFSC Code.
- Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Eligible Girl Students will have to apply through the Application Form under Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonibhor Yojana in order to get free-of-cost scooty under this scheme.
- Principal Incharge or Principal of General Degree College in which a girl student is currently studying in 1st Semester will distribute Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana Application Form among eligible girls.
- If due to any reason there is no distribution of forms, then girl students can itself collect the Application Form from the Administration Office of College.
- Girl Students will have to fill the Application Form carefully and attach all the required documents with it.
- Submit the Filled-in forms with all necessary documents in the Administration Office of the College.
- College Administration will then verify the forms and documents initially and sort the eligible girls.
- Forms and Documents of Eligible Girl Students will then be forwarded by the College Administration to the Directorate of Higher Education of Tripura Government.
- After verification, the Directorate of Higher Education will distribute scooty among selected Girl Students in a public function.
- Application Status of Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana can be checked by contacting the College Administration.
- At present there is no Official Website or Online Application Mode is available for Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana.
