Introduction of Shaadi Anudaan Yojana: A Brief Insight

  • Every State Government provides financial assistance to poor brides of their state.
  • This amount of Assistance will help them to conduct all the affairs of marriage without even thinking about the expenses.
  • To help the poor brides of Uttar Pradesh, Government of Uttar Pradesh launched Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana.
  • It was started in the year 2016.
  • This Scheme is also known as “Uttar Pradesh Marriage Assistance Scheme”.
  • The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial assistance for marriage to poor people of state.
  • Uttar Pradesh Government’s Department of Social Welfare is the nodal department of this scheme.
  • Uttar Pradesh Government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Rupees Only) for the marriage of poor girls under Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana.
  • The benefit of this scheme is applicable on every category applicant.

  • There is an income limit in Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana in which applicant must have the following annual family income :-
    • Rs. 46,080/- per Year in Rural Area.
    • Rs. 56,460/- per Year in Urban Area.
  • Applicant can apply for Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana before 90 days of the wedding or within 90 days of the wedding.

  • The following financial assistance will be provided to Eligible Girls for their Marriage under Shaadi Anudaan Yojana :-
    • Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Rupees Only)

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

  • The following eligibility conditions needed to be fulfilled to avail the benefit of financial assistance for marriage Shaadi Anudaan Yojana :-
    • Bride should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
    • The Age of Bride and Bride Groom should be 18 Year and 21 Years or Above respectively.
    • The Annual Family Income of Bride should be :-
      • Rs. 46,080/- per Year in Rural Area.
      • Rs. 56,460/- per Year in Urban Area.
    • Financial Assistance for Marriage under Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana will only applicable for 2 Daughters per Family.

    • Aadhar Card of Applicant.
    • Aadhar Card of Bride.
    • Passport Size Photograph of Bride.
    • Applicant Caste Certificate.
    • Family Income Certificate.
    • Bank Account Details.
    • BPL Card. (If Applicable)
    • Invitation Card of Marriage.
    • Death Certificate of Husband. (If Applicant is Widow)
    • Disability Certificate. (If Applicant is Physically Disabled)

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

  • The only way to avail the benefit of financial assistance for marriage is through the Online Application Form of Shaadi Anudaan Yojana.
  • The government of Uttar Pradesh provides separate links for each category applicant.
  • Applicant can choose any of the below-mentioned link to apply for Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana according to his/ her category :-
  • After successfully choosing the category, the application form will be filled by the applicant in the following steps :-
    • Personal Details of Applicant and Bride.
    • Contact Details of Applicant and Bride.
    • Details of Marriage.
    • Details of Annual Family Income.
    • Bank Account Details.
  • After filling the application form carefully click on the submit button.
  • Take a printout of the Application Form, Attach all the Documents and submit it to the office of District Social Welfare Officer.
  • It is mandatory to submit the Application Form of Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana along with all the documents within 30 days of submission.
  • Application Form and Documents will be thoroughly scrutinized by District Social Welfare Officer.
  • After Verification, Application Form will be forwarded for disbursal of financial assistance.
  • Financial Assistance will be transferred in the given bank account of Applicant.
  • Applicant can also Track their Online Application of Shaadi Anudaan Yojana by entering the Application Number and Bank Account Number.

Key Features of Scheme

  • Preference will be given to widow and disabled applicants under Shaadi Anudaan Yojana.
  • The following documents (any one) will be mandatorily required for the proof of bride’s age :-
    • Birth Certificate.
    • Aadhar Card.
    • Voter Identity Card.
    • Educational Certificates.
  • If applicant is a recipient of any of the below mentioned pensions then he/ she is not required to produce income certificate :-
    • Old Age Pension.
    • Samajwadi Pension.
    • Widow Pension.
    • Disabled Pension.
  • Applications received under Uttar Pradesh Shaadi Anudaan Yojana before more than 90 days of wedding and after 90 days of wedding is not entertained in any case.
