Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme

Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme is the one of its kind of scheme of Uttarakhand Government. Under Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme, a financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- will be provided to selected beneficiaries to do roof top gardening.

Introduction of Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Uttarakhand Government started the Roof Top Gardening Scheme in the State.
• It was announced by the Government on 15-01-2023.
• The Horticulture and Food Processing Directorate of Uttarakhand Government is the department implementing this scheme.
• The main aim of Government behind launching this scheme is to encourage people of Uttarakhand to do Roof Top Gardening.
• The Uttarakhand Government will provide Financial Assistance to selected beneficiaries under this scheme.
• Rs. 25,000/- will be given to selected beneficiaries under Roof Top Gardening Scheme of Government of Uttarakhand.
• This assistance will only be provided to do rooftop gardening on the empty space of terrace.
• A minimum 300 Square Feet of Terrace is required to get financial assistance under Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme.
• Monetary Assistance of Rs. 25,000/- will be provided to the beneficiary in two stages :-
  • Rs. 5,000/- will provided when beneficiaries attend the one day training program of roof top gardening.
  • Rs. 20,000/- will provided after 3 months when concerned officials visit the gardening site.
• Concerned Officials will do the inspection of terrace to check whether beneficiary utilize the initial amount effectively or not.
• People who live on Rent can also apply for the Roof Top Gardening Scheme of Uttarakhand.
• A No Objection Certificate is required from the Owner of the House at the time of applying.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Roof Top Gardening Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme is available at Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing Website.

  One Time Financial Assistance of Rs. 25,000/- for Roof Top Gardening.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• The following eligibility criteria is set by Government of Uttarakhand to avail the financial assistance for Roof Top Gardening under Roof Top Gardening Scheme :-
  

  Beneficiary should be residing in Uttarakhand State. Beneficiary should have 300 Square Feet of Empty Terrace Area. Tenants are also Eligible to Apply

How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible Beneficiaries of Uttarakhand can apply for financial assistance through Online Application Form.

• Beneficiary can Register themselves by entering personal details and by uploading below mentioned documents :-
  • Photograph of Applicant.
  • Photo of Bank Passbook.
  • NOC/ Affidavit.
  • Photo of Empty Roof.
• Click on Register.
• After Registration, Login with Mobile Number and Date of Birth.
• Fill the additional information and upload the required documents.
• Then submit the Application Form of Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme.
• Application Form and Documents will be verified by the officials.
• After verification, selected beneficiaries will be called for one day training.
• Initial amount of Rs. 5,000/- will be released by Government to the beneficiary.
