Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme

Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is going to be the major social welfare scheme of the Telangana Government. The Government of Telangana will provide financial assistance of Rs. 3,00,000/- to all eligible beneficiaries for the construction of a House. Financial Assistance under the Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme will be provided in 3 equal instalments of Rs. 1,00,000/- each.

Introduction of Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Most people have their own land but they are not able to build a house on it.
• The main reason behind this is the poor financial conditions of people.
• Now Telangana Government comes up with a solution by starting a new scheme.
• Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is going to start in whole of Telangana in the year 2023.
• The main aim of the Government of Telangana behind launching the Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is to provide financial support to those people who are not able to build their own house, instead of having a piece of land.
• This Scheme is also called “Telangana Griha Lakshmi Scheme” or “Telangana Housing Assistance Scheme for Poor” or “Telangana Housing Assistance Scheme” or “Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Pathakam”.
• Department of Transport, Road and Building is the nodal department of this scheme.
• And Telangana State Housing Corporation Limited is the implementing body of Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
• Government of Telangana will provide monetary assistance of Rs. 3,00,000/- (Three Lakh Rupees Only) to all eligible beneficiaries for house construction.
• This is not a one-time financial grant.
• But the Telangana Government will provide this financial assistance in 3 equal instalments on 3 stages of house construction as mentioned below :-

• Financial Assistance under the Telangana Government’s Gruha Laxmi Scheme is not for all homeless people.
• Monetary Assistance of Rs. 3,00,000/- will only be provided to those beneficiaries who have their own house constructible land.
• Houses will be sanctioned only in the name of the women beneficiary i.e. in the name of a Married woman or A Widow.
• Beneficiary Women belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are only eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance for house construction under the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme of Telangana.
• Beneficiary Women should also be holders of the Food Security Card.
• The beneficiary can itself choose the design of the house constructed under this scheme.
• The house has 2 Bedrooms, a Toilet and will be built on an RCC-framed structure.
• Telangana Government targets to provide financial assistance to build around 4,00,000 such houses across Telangana.
• Financial Assistance will only be transferred to the bank account of Women.
• No financial assistance will be provided in the Jan Dhan Bank Account of the Beneficiary.
• Now, Congress Government has started Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme in which financial assistance of Rs. 5,00,000/- will be provided for the construction of a house.
• The beneficiary can avail the benefit of monetary assistance for the construction of a house through the Gruha Lakshmi Application Form.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• The following benefits will be provided to Women Beneficiaries of Telangana under the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme :-
  

  Rs. 3,00,000/- will be provided for House Construction. Financial Assistance for Construction of House will be given in 3 Equal Instalment :- Amount Stage Rs. 1,00,000/- At Basement Level. Rs. 1,00,000/- At Roof Level. Rs. 1,00,000/- At House Completion.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• The following eligibility conditions are set by the Telangana Government in order to avail the benefit of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme :-
  • The beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Telangana State.
  • The beneficiary should be a woman.
  • Beneficiary Women should have a Valid Food Security Card. (FSC)
  • Beneficiary Women should belong to the Economically Weaker Section. (EWS)
  • Beneficiary Women should be married or a Widow.
  • Land should be in the Name of the Beneficiary.
  • The beneficiary should be a Resident of the Urban Local Body or the Village Area.

• The following documents are required to be attached with the Application Form at the time of applying for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme of the Telangana Government :-
  • Domicile or Residence Proof of Telangana.
  • Applicant Aadhar Card.
  • Ration Card of Family.
  • Applicant Photograph.
  • Details of Bank Account.
  • Mobile Number.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• The beneficiary can avail the benefits of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme of the Telangana Government by filling out an Application Form.
• Telangana Government’s Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Application Form will be available at any of the following offices :-
  • Municipal Corporation Office.
  • Gram Panchayat Office.
  • Mandal Office.
  • Gram Sabha Office.
• Take the Application Form and fill it correctly.
• Now attach all the mandatory documents to the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Application Form.
• Submit the Application Form with all the documents to the same office.
• Concerned Officials will verify the Documents and Application Form of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
• Once the verification is done, the monetary assistance of Rs. 3,00,000/- under Telangana Gruha Lakshmi Scheme will be transferred in 3 equal instalments in the bank account of the beneficiary women.
