Chhattisgarh Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana

The Government of Chhattisgarh will be provided a free of cost visit to Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham under Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana. Beneficiary Devotees between 18 years to 75 years of age are eligible to visit Ayodhya Dham.

Introduction of Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo started Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana (श्री रामलला दर्शन योजना) in state on 05-03-2024.
• This scheme was announced on 11-01-2024, in which Chhattisgarh CM promised to the people of the State to arrange a free of cost visit to Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham which was inaugurated on 22-01-2024.
• The main aim behind starting this scheme is to provide a free of cost visit to all interested devotees to Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham.
• This scheme will be implemented with the help of the Tourism Board of the Chhattisgarh Government.
• Now, under the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, all eligible and interested beneficiary devotees can visit Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham free of cost without spending a single penny.
• Chhattisgarh Government will select 20,000 people every year and send them to Ayodhya Dham to visit the Shri Ram Mandir.
• The age limit set by the Government for devotees is 18 years to 75 years.
• Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana will be implemented in Chhattisgarh State in a phased manner.
• In the first phase of this scheme, preference in selection will be given to applicants who are 55 years or more than 55 years.
• In every visit to Shri Ram Mandir, 850 devotees will be selected which can be further extended to 1000.
• Train Traveling, Food, Accommodation, and all types of expenses incurred during the visit to Shri Ram Mandir will be borne by the Chhattisgarh Government.
• Out of the total selected devotees, 25% will be selected from the Urban Area and 75% will be selected from the Rural Area.
• Every Applicant will also have to submit the details of 2 people who can be contacted in case of any emergency.
• If an applicant of 65 years of age and is traveling alone, then there is also a facility provided in which an assistant will also be sent with him.
• Beneficiary Applicants can apply in a group of 3 to 5 under this scheme but every applicant should be above 65 years of age.
• If from Husband or Wife only one person is selected, then the other one can also be selected under Shri Ram Lala Darshan Yojana.
• District Administration will also provide the facility to devotees to drop them from their house to the nearest railway station.
• This scheme is also known by some other famous names which are very popular such as “Shri Ram Lala Darsha Yojana” or “Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Scheme” or “Shri Ram Lalla (Ayodhya Dham) Yojana” or “श्री रामलला दर्शन योजना”.
• Chhattisgarh Government allocated 36 crore for Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana for the year 2025-2026 for smooth implementation in the whole of the State.
• More than 22,000 devotees have already visited Shri Ram Mandir under Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana of the Chhattisgarh Government.
• Application Form of Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana can be collected from the Gram Panchayat Office in the Rural Area and from Nagar Panchayat/ Nagar Palika/ Nagar Nigam Office in the Urban Area.
• Devotees’ Selection under Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana will be purely through a lottery system.
• Beneficiaries can also apply for “Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana” of the Chhattisgarh Government in which the benefit of a free visit to famous religious places across India will be provided.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Selected Beneficiaries will get the following benefits under the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana of the Government of Chhattisgarh :-
  • Devotees will get a chance to visit Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham without any cost.
  • No Money will be charged from Devotees under this scheme.
  • Expenses incurred on accommodation, Food,and  Train Travel will be borne by the Government.
  • Every Year 20,000 Devotees will visit Shri Ram Mandir free of cost.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Government of Chhattisgarh under its Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana will provide the benefits of a free of cost visit to Ayodhya Dham for the Shri Ram Mandir Pilgrimage to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria :-
  • Only Permanent Residents of Chhattisgarh are Eligible.
  • Beneficiary Devotee’s Age should be more than 18 years and below 75 years.
  • Preference will be given to 55 years or more applicant.
  • Devotees should be physically and medically Fit to travel.

• Beneficiary Applicant will have to attach the following documents with the Application Form of Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana of Chhattisgarh Government :-
  

  Domicile Certificate of Chhattisgarh or any one Residence Proof :- Ration Card. Driving License. Latest Electricity Bill. Voter Identity Card. Any Government-Issued Document. Beneficiary’s Aadhaar Card. Color Passport-Size Photo. Document Related to Age Proof. Details of 2 Persons for Contact in an Emergency. Mobile Number or Email. Medically Fit Certificate from the District Medical Board. Self Declaration Form.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Interested Devotees can visit Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham free of cost under the Chhattisgarh Government’s Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana.
• Registration before travel is a must for all beneficiaries.
• For registration, the beneficiary devotee will have to fill the Shri Ram Lalla Darsha Yojana Application Form which can be obtained from any of the following offices :-
  • Gram Panchayat Office in Rural Area.
  • Nagar Panchayat/ Nagar Palika/ Nagar Nigam Office in Urban Area.
• Collect the Application Form and fill it carefully without making any mistakes.
• Attach all the documents asked for with it.
• Now, submit the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana Application Form along with all the documents in the same officer from whom the application form is collected.
• Submitted Application Form and Documents will be scrutinized by a committee which is headed by the District Collector.
• A list of Selected Beneficiaries will be made and an intimation will be issued for their medical examination.
• District Medical Board will conduct a medical examination of selected devotees.
• Office of the District Collector will then forward the list of selected beneficiary devotees to the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board.
• Tourism Board will then arrange the travel to Shri Ram Mandir with the help of IRCTC or any other agency.
• Devotees who are medically fit and fit to travel will then visit Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham under the Chhattisgarh Government’s Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana on the given date and time which is specified by the committee.
• District Administration will arrange the transportation facility for devotees from their homes to the railway station and when they return then from the railway station to their homes.
• Beneficiary Devotees will have to arrange Medicines, Warm Clothes etc by themselves.
• In case of any help or assistance required regarding Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, beneficiary devotee can contact their District Collectorate Office or Gram Panchayat Office or Tourism Board Office.
