Delhi Government will provide one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- with Certificate of Appreciation under Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana to young talent who are brillian in the field of science. Class 8th Passed and currently studying in class 9th students are eligible to apply for examination.

Introduction of Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Government of Delhi is running lots of welfare scheme for students in which the major one is “Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Scholarship Scheme”.
• The another prominent welfare scheme started by Delhi Government for students is “Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana”.
• The main aim behind starting this scheme is to encourage students to do more and more creative work in science field.
• Education Department of Delhi Government is the implementing department of this scheme.
• The earlier and old name of this scheme is “Junior Science Talent Search Examination”.
• Then it get renamed by Delhi Government to Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana which are also popularly known as “Chief Minister Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana” or “Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Scheme” or “Chief Minister Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Scheme” or “MVPPY of Delhi”
• Education Department of Delhi will conduct an competitive examination under Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana which is based on science.
• Competitive Examination consists two papers or 100 marks each named Scholastice Aptitude Test (SAT) and Mental Ability Test.
• Questions in the papers will come from the syllabus of Class 8th.
• Those students who successfully cleared the merit list will get one time financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- under this scheme.
• Apart from financial assistance, a certificate of appreciation will also provided to selected students under Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana.
• Only students who are currently studying in class 9th are eligible to take part in competitive examination.
• It is mandatory for a student to secure minimum 60% marks in class 8th examination in order to get eligible.
• Whereas, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Physically Handicapped Students having 55% marks in their class 8th examination are eligible to apply.
• First 1,000 students secured their name in merit list will get Rs. 5,000/- financial assistance with certificate of appreciation under Delhi Government’s Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana.
• There is also a provision of reservation in this scheme in which 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, 10% for EWS and 4% for PH candidates are applicable at the time of preparing merit.
• Qualifying percentage set by Delhi Government for this examination is 32% out of total marks for SC/ST and PH Students and 40% out of total marks for General, OBC and EWS Students.
• Competitive Examination under Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana will be conducted by Department of Education every year.
• Students themselve can not enroll themselves under Mukhyamantri Vigya Pratibha Pariksha Yojana.
• Concerned Schools of Students will enroll the eligible students under this scheme.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Students

• Government of Delhi will provide the following benefits to those students who passed the competitive examination of Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana :-
  • One Time Financial Assistance will be Provided to Students.
  • Rs. 5,000/- will be provided to Selected Students.
  • Appreciation Certificate will also Provided to Students.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,000/- and Appreciation Certificate under Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana will be provided to those students who met the below mentioned eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  

  Applicant should be Student. Student should be a Permanent Resident of NCT of Delhi. Student should be currently studying in Class 9th. Student should have secured minimum 60% marks in his/her previous Class 8th Examination. Students belong to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Physically Handicapped Category should have 55% marks in Class 8th Examination. Beneficiary Student should be studying in any of the below mentioned schools in Delhi :- Government of Delhi and Aided Schools. Kendriya Vidyalaya. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. New Delhi Municipal Corporation Schools. DCB Schools. Recognized Private Schools.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Documents that are required to be submitted at school at the time of applying for Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana of Delhi Government are mentioned below :-
  • Domicile Certificate or any Proof of Residence of Delhi.
  • 1 Color Passport Size Photograph.
  • Student Aadhaar Card.
  • Certificate of Caste.
  • Marksheet of Class 8th Examination.
  • School Identity Card of Student.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Number and IFSC Code.

How Beneficiaries Students Can Apply and Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Government of Delhi didn’t provide any facility to students to apply for Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana by themselves.
• Head of Concerned Schools will register the eligible students on the Official Website of Department of Education.
• Students will have to submit the relevant documents at their school administration department.
• Head of School will Login on Department of Education Website with their Login ID and Password and fill the Application Forms of students.
• After primary enrollment, department of education will verify the recieved information of students.
• Then Roll Number and Centre of Examination will be generated by the Department and forwarded to concerned schools.
• Head of School will then take a print out of Admit Cards, attest all of them and issue to students in two copies.
• Students will have to reach Centre of Examination on mentioned Date and Time to give competitive examination of Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana.
• Students will be selected for one time financial assistance purely on merit basis.
• Selected Students will get One Time Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,000/- and Certificate of Appreciation under Delhi Government’s Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana.
