Introduction of Jharkhand Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme was announced during the budget announcement for the year 2024-2025.
• Then shortly afterwards, this scheme was launched in the whole of Jharkhand.
• It is one of the prominent educational scholarship schemes started for the girl students of the State.
• The main objective of the Jharkhand Government behind starting the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme is to encourage girl students to pursue their higher education by opting for technical courses and take part in the technological boom.
• This scheme is implemented by the Department of Higher and Technical Education of the Jharkhand Government with the help of Jharkhand University of Technology.
• Yearly scholarship will be provided under the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme to girl students who opt technical polytechnic course after completing their Class 10th or B.Tech/ B.E after completing her Class 12th.
• Rs. 15,000/- per year will be provided to girl students who are pursuing polytechnic diploma courses.
• Whereas, Girls Students who are studying Engineering Courses like B.Tech or B.E will get Rs. 30,000/- per year under the Government of Jharkhand’s Manki Munda Scholarship Yojana.
• It is mandatory for a girl student to pass her Class 10th and Class 12th from any school within Jharkhand.
• If the annual family income of a girl student is more than Rs. 8 lakh per year then she is not eligible to apply for a scholarship under this scheme.
• Girl Students studying in Government, Private or PPP Mode educational institutions are eligible to get a yearly scholarship under Maanki Munda Chatravritti Yojana.
• Scholarship for the next year will only continue if the girl student secures a minimum of 50% marks in her previous year’s examination.
• Scholarship under the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme will not be provided to those girl students who are already beneficiaries of any Central or State Government financial assistance scheme.
• Manki Munda Scholarship Yojana Online Application Form is available on the Official Portal of CM Fellowship for Academic Excellence.
• The mother of a Girl Student can also apply for “Maiyya Samman Yojana” or “Abua Awaas Yojana” of the Jharkhand Government.
• For free health care coverage, the family of a girl student can explore “Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana”.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Girl Students will get the following benefits from the Jharkhand Government under its Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme :-
  • Yearly Scholarship will be provided to selected Girl Students.
  • Girl Student enrolled in a Polytechnic Diploma Course will get Rs. 15,000/- per year.
  • Girl Student enrolled in an Engineering Course (B.Tech/ B.E) will get Rs. 30,000/- per year.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Yearly Scholarship under Jharkhand Government’s Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme will be provided to only those students who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  

  Permanent Resident Girls Students of Jharkhand are Eligible. Girl Student should have passed Class 10th and Class 12th from Jharkhand. Girl Student should currently be studying/ enrolled in any of the following courses :- Full Diploma/ Polytechnic Course Full Engineering Program/ Course (B.Tech/ B.E) The college should be affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology. Girl Student should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in her previous year’s examination for the continuation of the scholarship. Girls’ family’s annual income should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per year or the Family should be enrolled in the National Food Security Act. Girl Student should not be a beneficiary of any other Central or State Government Scheme.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Beneficiary Girl Students will have to upload the following documents on the portal at the time of applying for yearly scholarship under Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme of Jharkhand Government :-
  • Girl Student Aadhaar Card.
  • Class 10th and Class 12th Marksheet.
  • Class 10th and Class 12th Certificates.
  • Family Income Certificate.
  • Recent Color Passport Size Photograph.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Mobile Number and Email.
  • Certificate of Caste. (If Applicable)
  • College and Course Details.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Beneficiary Girl Students who are currently studying in Polytechnic Diploma or Engineering courses can apply for a yearly scholarship under the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme through the Online Application Form.
• Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme Online Application Form is available on the CM Fellowship for Academic Excellence Portal.
• Open the Portal scroll down a little bit and Click on Apply Now for Manki Munda Scholarship.
  
• A screen will appear in which all the eligibility conditions of the scheme is written, read it carefully and click on Apply.
• A Registration Form will appear in which girl students will have to fill in basic details as mentioned below and register themselves.
  
• Mobile Number and Email will be verified by the portal through OTP authentication.
  
• Login with your Email and chosen password.
  
• Choose Scheme and Select Mandi Munda Scholarship Yojana.
• Fill out the online application form and upload all the required documents.
• Preview the filled application form and submit it.
• The submitted Application Form will be verified by the respective college of the girl students.
• List of Girl Students found to be eligible will be forwarded to the concerned department for further verification and approval.
• Financial Assistance under the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme will be transferred in the bank account of the girl student in installments after final approval.
