Introduction of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme alias Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana (मध्य प्रदेश मुख्यमंत्री लाड़ली बहना योजना) is the major welfare scheme of the Madhya Pradesh Government for the Women of the State.
• It was announced on the 8th of February by Honourable Ex-Chief Minister Sh. Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
• The official launch date of the Madhya Pradesh Government’s Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme is 5th March 2023.
• Madhya Pradesh Government’s Department of Women and Child Development is the implementing department of this scheme.
• The main aim of launching the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme is to empower women in the state financially so they do not rely on anyone for their household expenses.
• Under the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme, the Government of Madhya Pradesh will provide the financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month to the eligible women of the state.
• At the initial phase of the scheme, the amount of assistance is Rs. 1,000/- per month which was extended to Rs. 1,250/- per month.
• But on 10-11-2025, the cabinet of the Madhya Pradesh Government took a major decision and gave their approval to increase the amount to Rs. 1,500/- per month.
• Now, all the registered beneficiaries will receive going to receive Rs. 1,500/- per month under Madhya Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana.
• To date, the Madhya Pradesh Government has released the 29th instalment of this scheme.
• On 12-11-2025, the Government is all set to release the 30th instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana of Rs. 1,500/-.
• The Government of Madhya Pradesh has plans to increase this amount to Rs. 3,000/- per month till 2030.
• Around 1.30 crore women are receiving the financial assistance per month under the MP Government’s Ladli Behna Yojana.
• The Samagra ID of a Woman or her family member is mandatory to avail herself of the benefits of the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme.
• Right now, there is no Online Application Process for Ladli Behna Yojana available.
• Women Beneficiaries can apply by filling the Offline Application Form of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana available at the following offices :-
  • Gram Panchayat Office.
  • Ward Office.
  • Camps.

• Madhya Pradesh also launched another welfare scheme for ladli behna’s in which financial assistance for house construction will be provided. The name of the scheme is “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana”.

• On 12-11-2025, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh State Shri Mohan Yadav Ji released the amount Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana of Rs. 1857 crore directly in the bank account of around 1.26 crore women beneficiaries, each women beneficiary received Rs. 1,500/- assistance into their bank account.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• The following Financial Assistance will be provided to Women Beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh under the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme :-
  • Monthly Financial Assistance will be provided to eligible women.
  • Each woman will receive assistance of Rs. 1,500/- Per Month.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• The financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month will be provided by the Madhya Pradesh Government to only those applicants who fulfil the following eligibility criteria of the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme :-
  

  Permanent Residents of Madhya Pradesh are Eligible. Following Women are eligible under Madhya Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana :- Married Women. Widow Women. Divorcee Women. Destitute Women. The Age of the Women should be between 23 Years to 60 Years. The annual family income should not be more than Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Ineligibility Conditions of the Scheme

• The following ineligibility conditions is set by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in which women are not eligible to apply if fall under any of the category :-
  

  If the annual income from all sources is more than Rs. 2,50,000/-. If there is a taxpayer in the family. If the family member is in any Central Government or State Government or in PSU services or receiving pension from any of the aforesaid. Beneficiary of any other financial assistance scheme of the Central or State Government. If any family member is or was a member of the Parliament of the Legislative Assembly. If the family owns more than 5 acres of Agricultural Land. If the family owns a four-wheeler. (Tractor Also)

• The following documents are mandatorily required to be attached with the Application Form of Madhya Pradesh Government’s Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme :-
  • Aadhar Card of Applicant.
  • Ration Card of Family.
  • Domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Samagra ID of Applicant.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Photograph of Applicant.
  • Income Certificate of Family.
  • Bank Account Details.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible Women can apply for the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Ladli Behna Scheme through the Application Form.
• Women can collect the Application Form of Ladli Behna Scheme from the office of the Gram Panchayat or Ward Office or the Camps.
• Fill the Application Form very carefully and attach all the required documents.
• Women can also take help from the volunteers of the Gram Panchayat to fill the form correctly.
• Then, the Camp In-Charge upload the application form and documents of women in the Ladli Behna Scheme Portal or App.
• Live Photograph of the woman will also be taken.
• Once the application form and all the documents are uploaded on the portal, an acknowledgement slip will be given to the women applicant for future reference.
• Application Form and Documents will be scrutinised thoroughly by the department officials.
• If found correct, then after the generation of the final beneficiary list, the financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- will be transferred to the woman’s bank account.
• If the application form of a woman is rejected for some reason, then she can also make an objection before the appropriate authority.
