Introduction of Mehngai Mukti Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Delhi Legislative Assembly Election will going to be held on 05-02-2025 and thereafter election result will be announced on 08-02-2025.
• Bharatiya Janta Party, Congress Party, Aam Aadmi Party started their campaign for elections by announced lots of welfare schemes known as freebies for the people of Delhi.
• The announcement of welfare schemes from political parties will woo the voters and shift the wave in favour of parties.
• From the time of Karnataka Assembly Election, Congress Party set a precedents to lure voters by announcing welfare schemes for them.
• They first announce “Gruha Lakshmi Scheme”, “Gruha Jyothi Scheme” and many others in Karnataka then thereafter same announcements were done at the time of Telangana assembly election which are ““Mahalakshmi Scheme”, “Rythu Bharosa Scheme”, Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme” and many more.
• And luckily with these announcement Congress Party wins the Legislative assembly election of both the States and unfortunately some States they loose even after announcing these welfare schemes.
• Now, Congress Party plays the same card in the assembly election of Delhi by announcing freebies for the people of Delhi.
• Earlier they announced “Pyaari Didi Yojana” in which monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,500/- will be provided to women and “Jeevan Raksha Yojana” in which a free health insurance cover up to Rs. 25 Lakh per year will be provided and “Yuva Udaan Yojana” for the youths in which skill development apprenticeship with a stipend of Rs. 8,500/- per month for a year will be provided.
• Now the latest scheme announcement on board is “Mehngai Mukti Yojana”.
• The main aim behind announcing this scheme is to provide relief to people of Delhi from inflating price of daily essentials.
• Congress Party promised that if they wins the election of Delhi then they will definitely start Mehngai Mukti Yojana in which Domestic LPG Gas Cylinder at subsidized price and free of cost ration kit will be provided.
• Beneficiaries will get Domestic LPG Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- under Mehngai Mukti Yojana.
• Apart from subsidized LPG Gas Cylinder, beneficiary families will also get free of cost monthly ration kit from ration shops.
• Each Ration Kits which are provided under Mehngai Mukti Yojana consists the below mentioned items :-

• The main competitor of Congress Party, Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party also announced lots of pre election promises for the people of Delhi.
• The major announcements done by AAP are “Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana” in which Rs. 2,100/- per month will be provided to women, another one is “Sanjeevani Yojana” in which free of cost treatment to old age people will be provided in Government and Private Hospital and the last one is “Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana” in which Rs. 18,000/- per month assistance will be provided to Pujari of Temple and Granthis of Gurudwaras.
• Announcing Mehngai Mukti Yojana can definitely turn some air in favour of Congress Party.
• At present only this information is available about Mehngai Mukti Yojana of Congress.
• The fate of Mehngai Mukti Yojana of Congress Party will be decided after the announcement of results of election on 08-02-2025.
• And if Congress Party wins the election and formed Government in Delhi and launched Mehngai Mukti Yojana then the other major name of this scheme would be “Mehngai Mukti Scheme”.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Congress Party if somehow wins the upcoming assembly election of Delhi and forms the government then every eligible family will get the following benefits under Mehngai Mukti Yojana :-
  

  Subsidy will be Provided on Domestic LPG Gas Cylinder. After Subsidy, LPG Gas Cylinder will be Provided at Rs. 500/-. Apart from that a Monthly Ration Kit will also Provided. Monthly Ration Kit consists :- Rice :- 5 KG. Tea :- 250 Grams. Pulses :- 6 KG. Sugar :- 2 KG. Cooking Oil :- 1 Litre.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Free of Cost Ration Kit and a LPG Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- under Mehngai Mukti Yojana will only provided to those beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  • Only Permanent Residents of Delhi are Eligible to Apply.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should have BPL Card or Ration Card.
  • There should be a Valid Domestic LPG Gas Connection at Home.
  • PM Ujjwala Yojana Beneficiaries are also Eligible.
  • Remaining Eligibilty Conditions will be released later.

Documents Required to be Attached

• The following list of documents will expected to be required at the time of applying for Mehngai Mukti Yojana in order to avail the benefit of LPG Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- and a Free Ration Kit :-
  • Residence Proof or Domicile of Delhi.
  • Aadhar Card of Beneficiary.
  • Voter Identity Card of Beneficiary.
  • Bank Account Number and Bank IFSC Code.
  • Mobile Number or Email.
  • Family Ration Card or BPL Card.
  • Self Declaration or Income Certificate.

How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Mehngai Mukti Yojana is a pre election promise of Congress Party for the voters of Delhi like earlier announced one’s which are “Pyaari Didi Yojana”, Jeevan Raksha Yojana” and “Yuva Udaan Yojana”.
• This pre election promise Congress Party will only completed by them if the People of Delhi vote for them in the upcoming Delhi Assembly Election and help Congress Party to formed the Government.
• After winning and implementing this scheme, its the sole decision of the future government to accept application forms under this scheme through offline application form or through online application form.
• If the application mode of Mehngai Mukti Yojana is offline then application form will be available in every PDS/ Ration/ Fair Price Shops.
• And if the application mode is online then Mehngai Mukti Yojana Portal can also be made for the smooth implementation of this scheme.
• As of now people of Delhi will have to wait in order to get Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- and a Free Ration Kit under Congress Parties Mehngai Mukti Yojana and vote for them in large numbers.
• If Congress Party fails to win the election of Delhi then this scheme has no future.
• Election Commission willl announced Delhi Assembly Election Result 08-02-2024.
