Introduction of Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana: A Brief Insight

  • Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana was started by the Madhya Pradesh Government in the year 2012 in the month of June.
  • The main objective behind starting this scheme is to fulfill the desires of senior citizens of the State to visit the famous and sacred religious places across India once in a life.
  • Madhya Pradesh Government’s Directorate of Religious Trust and Endowment is the implementing agency of this scheme.
  • Free visit to famous religious places across the country will be arranged by the Madhya Pradesh Government for senior citizens under its Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana.
  • The journey to pilgrimage places will be concluded in Special Trains, Planes or in AC Buses.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

  • Free of Cost Visit to religious place will only be provided to those applicants who meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of Madhya Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana :-
    • Only Permanent Residents of Madhya Pradesh is Eligible to Apply.
    • The Age of the Applicant should be 60 years or more.
    • Maximum Age for Women applicants is 58 years or more.
    • No Age Limit for Disabled Applicants.
    • Applicant should not be an Income Tax Payee.
    • The applicant should not have availed the benefit of this scheme earlier.
