Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme

Punjab Government started Bebe Nanki Ladli Beti Kalyan Scheme in the year 2011 with an objective to improve girl child sex ratio in the State. Rs. 81,000/- in a phased manner from the birth of a girl child to till she attain the age of 18 years will be provided under this scheme. Read here to get full details of scheme.

Introduction of Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme

• Every State Government of India will provide financial assistance at the time of birth of a girl child for their welfare.
• Same like that Government of Punjab has also a major welfare scheme named “Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme”.
• It was started in the year 2011.
• The main objective behind launching Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme is :-
  • To Decrease the Infant Mortality Rate.
  • To Stop the Fetus Killing of Girl Child in Mother’s Womb.
  • To Help the Girl Child Financially in her study.
  • To Encourage Girls to Pursue Higher Education.
• This scheme is also known as “ਬੇਬੇ ਨਾਨਕੀ ਲਾਡਲੀ ਬੇਟੀ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਸਕੀਮ”.
• Punjab Government’s Department of Social Security and Women & Child Development is the Nodal Department of this scheme.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 81,000/- will be provided to beneficiaries under Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme in different stages.
• Financial Assistance distributed under Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme in detail are as follows :-
  • Rs. 20,000/- from Rs. 81,000/- will be fixed deposited by LIC in the name of girl child at the time of her birth.
  • This amount of Rs. 20,000/- will be claimed only after when Girl passed Class 12^th and attain the age of 18 years.
  • Remaining Amount of Rs. 61,000/- will be provided directly in the bank account of beneficiary in different stages.
  • Rs. 2,100/- will be provided to the parents at the time of birth of a girl child.
  • Another Rs. 2,100/- will be provided to beneficiaries when girl child attain the age of 3 years and fully immunized with all vaccines.
  • Rs. 2,100/- will again given to beneficiaries when the girl child take admission in Class 1^st at the age of 6 years.
  • Rs. 7,200/- at the rate of Rs. 100/- per month will be provided to girl child from the date of taking admission in Class 1^st till the date of passing Class 6^th.
  • Rs. 14,400/- at the rate of 200/- per month will be provided to girl child from the date of taking admission on Class 7^th till the date of passing Class 12^th.
  • Rs. 2,100/- will be provided when girl child takes admission in Class 9^th.
  • And the final amount of Rs. 31,000/- will be provided to girl child when she passed class 12^th and attain the age of 18 years.
• Only those Girl Child are eligible to avail the financial assistance who are born after 1^st January 2011.
• The financial assistance will stop immediately if girl child drop school due to any possible reason.
• The Annual Family Income of Girl Child Family should not be more than Rs. 30,000/-.
• Blue Card is necessary to avail the benefit of Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme as it work as a Income Certificate.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Financial Assistance under Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme by filling Application Form available at the office of District Program Officer.

Benefits of Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme

• The following financial assistance will be provided by Government of Punjab to the beneficiaries under Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme :-
  

  A Total of Rs. 81,000/- (Eighty Thousand Rupees Only) will be given to beneficiaries in different stages. Financial Assistance provided in different stages under Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme are as follows :- Stage of Assistance Amount of Assistance At the Time of Girl Child Birth Rs. 20,000/- will be Fixed Deposited by LIC in the Name of Girl Child. Rs. 21,00/- will be directly paid to beneficiary. When Girl Child is Fully Immunized Rs. 21,00/- When Girl Child take Admission in Class 1st Rs. 21,00/- From Class 1st to Class 6th Rs. 7,200/- (Rs. 100/- per Month) From Class 7th to Class 12th Rs. 14,400/- (Rs. 200/- per Month) When Girl Child take Admission in Class 9th Rs. 21,00/- When Girl Child Passed Class 12th and Attain the Age of 18 Years Rs. 31,000/- Total Rs. 81,000/-

Eligibility Conditions of Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme

• The following Eligibility is required to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme :-
  

  Girls Parents should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab. Girl Child should be born after 01.01.2011. Orphan Girls found abundant after 01.01.2011 are also eligible. The Annual Family Income of Girl Parents should be not more than Rs. 30,000/-. Family of a Girl Child should be a holder of Blue Card.

• The following documents is mandatorily required to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme :-
  

  Domicile/ Residence Proof of Punjab. Blue Card issued by Food and Supply Department. Girl Birth Certificate. Details of Bank Account. Aadhar Card of Girl Child. Aadhar Card of Parents of Girl.

Apply Procedure of Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme

• The only way to apply for Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme is through Offline Application Form.
• The Application Form of Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme is available free of cost from the below mentioned offices :-
  • Office of District Program Officer.
  • District Office of Punjab Women & Child Development Department.
• Fill the Application Form correctly and attach the below mentioned documents with the application form :-
  • Residence Proof or Domicile of Punjab.
  • Aadhar Card of Parents and Girl Child.
  • Copy of Bank Passbook.
  • Birth Certificate of Girl.
  • Copy of Blue Card of Family.
• Submit the Application Form along with the above mentioned documents in the same office where the application form collected.
• Application Form and Documents will be scrutinized by District Program Officers of the concerned District.
• After verification the application will be forwarded to department for further approval.
• Financial Assistance under Punjab Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiaries according to the set stages of scheme.
