Introduction of Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana: A Brief Insight

Jharkhand Government had run “Mukhyamantri Sukanya Yojana” in the State, in which financial assistance was provided to girl students.
Then, in the year 2019, the Government renamed this scheme to “Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhhi Yojana”.
The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to stop child killing, improve the infant mortality rate, reduce the dropout rate of girls in schools, prevent early marriage, and encourage girls to pursue higher education.
This scheme is implemented by the Jharkhand Government’s Women, Child Development & Social Security Department.
Government of Jharkhand will provide yearly financial assistance to girl students of the State who are currently studying from Class 8^th to Class 12^th under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana.
Financial Assistance under this scheme will be disbursed in 5 stages in every class in which girl students are studying.
Girl Students will get Rs. 2,500/- per class in Class 8^th and Class 9^th, Rs. 5,000/- per class in Class 10^th, Class 11^th, and Class 12^th as educational assistance.
When a Girl Student attains the age of 18 years and passes Class 12^th then she will get one-time financial assistance of Rs. 20,000/- under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Scheme.
The girl beneficiary must enroll in the Electors Photo Identification Card (EPIC) to claim Rs. 20,000/- and before attaining the age of 19 years.
Girl Students studying in private schools under the Right to Information Act can also apply for financial assistance under this scheme.
Jharkhand Government gives two options to girl students to apply for financial assistance under this scheme.
First One is through the Online Application Form, which is available on the Official Website of the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Scheme.
And the other one is Offline Application Form, which is available in the Office of Anganwadi Centre/ Child Development Project Officer/ District Social Welfare Officer.
Beneficiary Girl Students can contact their districts’ CDPO or DSWO in case of any help or assistance is required regarding Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana.
Mothers of Girl Students can also apply for Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana, in which they will get monthly assistance of Rs. 2,500/-.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

All Eligible Girl students studying in Class 8th to Class 12th will get the following benefits from the Jharkhand Government under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana :-

Financial Assistance in the form of a Scholarship will be provided to Girl Beneficiaries.
Girl Beneficiaries will get Financial Assistance from Class 8th to Class 12th.
A Total Assistance of Rs. 40,000/- will be disbursed in 5 Years.

Assistance of this scheme will be distributed according to the following stages :-

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

Financial Assistance under the Government of Jharkhand’s Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana will only be provided to those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of scheme :-

Permanent Resident Girl Students of Jharkhand are Eligible to Apply.
Benefits will only be provided to All Girls of a Family.
Beneficiary Girl Student should be studying in Class 8th to Class 12th.
Girl Students studying in a Private School under the Right to Education Act are also Eligible.
School of Beneficiary Girl Student should be operated by any of the below-mentioned government departments :-
- Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare Department.
- Women, Child Development & Social Security Department.
- Schools under the National Child Labour Project.
- Government of Jharkhand-aided Schools.

Ineligibility Conditions of the Scheme

If a beneficiary girl student comes under any of the below-mentioned eligibility conditions ofthe Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, then she is not eligible to apply :-
- If any parent is a Serving or Retired Employee of the Central or State Government.
- If any parents is a Income Tax Payees.
- If any parent is a receiver of any type of Pension from any Government Scheme.

Fill the below-mentioned information in the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana Online Registration Form :-
- Full Name.

- Answer 2 Security Questions.

Now Login with the help of your Mobile Number and Chosen Password.
A Dashboard will appear in which the beneficiary girl student will have to click on “Click Here to Apply Online”.

Upload all the required documents on the portal.
Preview the Application Form, check all the Filled Information, and click on the Submit Button to submit it.
Submitted Application Forms and Documents will be verified by the respective school of Girl Students through E Vidhya Vahini Portal.
The school will verify the list of girl students as appears on the dashboard and approve it.
Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security will then give final approval and process the application form disbursement of financial assistance.
The beneficiary Girl Student will automatically receive financial assistance directly into their bank account as per the stage of disbursement.
