Introduction of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is the major welfare scheme of Telangana Government.
• It was started by Honorable Chief Minister Sh. Kalavakunta Chandrashekar Rao on October 2nd 2014.
• Department of Backward Class Welfare is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main aim behind launching Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is to provide financial assistance for the marriage of poor brides in the Telangana State.
• Lots of families in Telangana are not able to bear the expenses occurred on the marriage of their daughters.
• To help those families Government of Telangana’s Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is become the boon in their life.
• The other name of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is “Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Pathakam”.
• Under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, Telangana Government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,116/- (One Lakh, One Hundred, Sixteen Rupees Only) to the eligible brides of the Telangana State.
• In the earlier stage of this scheme, the financial assistance of Rs, 51,000/- (Fifty One Thousand Rupees Only) was given to the brides.
• But in 2017, Government of Telangana revised this amount to Rs. 75,116/- (Seventy Thousand, One Hundred and Sixteen Rupees Only).
• Then in 2018, Telangana Government takes a major step and further increased this amount to Rs. 1,00,116/- (One Lakh, One Hundred Sixteen Rupees Only) to give major relief to the brides of State.
• The Brides belonging to the below mentioned six notified communities are eligible to apply :-
  • Muslims.
  • Parsis.
  • Sikhs.
  • Christians.
  • Buddhists.
  • Jains.
• Further the annual income of the bride’s family should not be more than Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lakh Rupees Only) to avail the benefit of scheme.
• Beneficiaries other then minority can apply for financial assistance for marriage under Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam.
• Eligible Bride’s of Telangana State will apply through Online ePass Portal to avail the benefit of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• The below mentioned Financial Assistance will be provided to the beneficiary under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme :-
  • Rs. 1,00,116/- (One Lakh, One Hundred, Sixteen Rupees Only).

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Eligibility Criteria fixed by the Telangana Government to avail the benefit of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme are as follows :-
  

  Brides of Telangana. Age of Bride should be 18 Years and Above. Bride should be belong to any of the below-mentioned minority community :- Muslims. Christians. Parsis. Jains. Sikhs. Buddhists. Bride’s Family Annual Income should be below Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lakh Rupees Only).

  • Photograph of Bride.
  • Bride Birth Certificate or Any Age Proof.
  • Aadhar Card of Bride.
  • Aadhar Card of Bride’s Mother.
  • Aadhar Card of Bride Groom.
  • Bank Account Details of Bride and Bride’s Mother.
  • Income Certificate of the Family.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• The only way to apply for Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is through Telangana’s ePass Portal.
• First the bride should have Register herself first.
• Now the Registration Form will appear on the Screen.
• Fill the below mentioned details in phase wise :-
  • Bride Details.
  • Income Certificate Details.
  • Permanent Address of Bride.
  • Present Address of Bride.
  • Bank Account Details of Bride.
  • Bank Account Details of Bride’s Mother.
  • Bride Groom Details.
  • Permanent Address of Bride Groom.
  • Details of Marriage.
  • Documents Upload.
• Once all the particulars filled correctly, fill the captcha code and submit it.
• Application Form for Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is submitted and Application Number will be generation by Portal.
• Beneficiary can also check their Application Status of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme by filling this Application Number and Mobile Number on the portal.
• Application Form and Documents are subject to verification.
• Once verified by welfare officer, the financial amount under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme will be transferred to the given bank account of the beneficiary.

Key Features of Scheme

• Received Applications of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme will be allotted to Village Revenue Officer by Tehsildar concerned for Verification.
• Field Inquiry will be conducted by Village Revenue Officer.
• Following things will be verified by Village Revenue Officer during his field inquiry visit :-
  • Address of Bride and Groom.
  • Income Eligibility.
  • Aadhar Card Details of Bride and Groom.
  • Caste Certificate if Any.
  • Any Other Relevant Details to be Verified.
• Once the field verification is done, the application form and documents will be forwarded to Tehsildar for further approval.
• After Tehsildar approval the application then forwarded to MLA concerned for approval.
• Then application will be forwarded for payment and the financial assistance under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme will be transferred into the bank account of beneficiary.
