- Punjab Government started lots of financial assistance schemes as a monthly pension, to support financially unstable persons.
- Some of the Punjab government’s major pension schemes are the “Old Age Pension Scheme” and the “Disability Pension Scheme.“
- Punjab Government also started a pension scheme for women of the State who doesn’t have any source of income.
- The name of the scheme is “Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme”.
- This scheme is a combination of 4 sub-schemes due to the categorization of its beneficiaries.
- The sub-schemes are “Widow Pension Scheme Punjab”, Destitute Women Pension Scheme Punjab”, “Unmarried Married Pension Scheme Punjab, and “Divorced Women Pension Scheme Punjab”.
