Introduction of Kalyanamasthu Scheme: A Brief Insight
- Kalyanamasthu Scheme is the major social welfare scheme of Andhra Pradesh Government.
- It was launched by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on 1st of October 2022.
- After change of Government in the year 2024, Telugu Desam Party led Government of Andhra Pradesh removed YSR from Kalyanamasthu Scheme name.
- This scheme is also called Kalyanamasthu Pathakam.
- The main objective behind launching Kalyanamasthu Scheme is to provide financial assistance to poor brides for their marriage.
- It is a fact that marriage is an expensive affair and many people face various difficulties for their daughters marriage financially.
- Now the Andhra Pradesh Government provide financial assistance to the brides so that they can easily conduct all the affairs in marriage.
- Under Kalyanamasthu Scheme, Government of Andhra Pradesh will provide financial assistance ranging from Rs. 40,000/- (Forty Thousand Rupees Only) to Rs. 1,50,000/- (One Lakh Fifty Thousand Rupees Only) for the marriage of poor brides of the Andhra Pradesh State.
- Every Category other than Muslim are eligible to avail the benefit under Kalyanamasthu Scheme.
- Brides or the Family Member of the Bride can apply under Kalyanamasthu Scheme within 60 days of the marriage.
- Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Kalyanamasthu Scheme through the following ways :-
- Online through Navasakam Beneficiary Management Portal.
- Offline through Kalyanamasthu Application Form.
Benefits of Kalyanamasthu Scheme Provided to Brides
- The following Financial Assistance will be provided to Brides under Kalyanamasthu Scheme :-

Eligibility Criteria Set for Brides
- Marriages held on or after 01/10/2022 are Eligible.
- Bride Age should be 18 Years.
- Bride Groom Age should be 21 Years.
- 10th Pass is mandatory for both Bride and Bride Groom.
- The Family Income of Bride and Bride Groom should not more than :-
- Rs. 10,000/- per month in Rural Areas.
- Rs. 12,000/- per month in Urban Areas.
- Bride and Bride Groom’s Family Land Holding should not be more than :-
- 3 Acre of Wet Land or,
- 10 Acre of Dry Land or,
- 10 Acre Total. (Both Wet and Dry).
- Months Electricity Consumption should not be more than 300 units.
Ineligibility Set for Women Beneficiaries
- Following Families are ineligible to apply for financial assistance under Kalyanamasthu Scheme :-
- Whose Family Member is a Income Tax Payee.
- Owner of more than 1000 Sq. Ft of Commercial or Residential Area.
- Have a Four Wheeler in their Home. (Tractor, Autos and Taxis are exempted).
- Who consume more than 300 units of Electricity.

- The following categories are eligible to apply for financial assistance under Kalyanamasthu Scheme :-
- Any one of the below mentioned Minority Community :-
- Parsis.
- Jains.
- Christians.
- Buddhists.
- Sikhs.
- Schedule Caste.
- Schedule Tribes.
- Backward Classes.
- Physically Handicapped.
- Buildling and Other Construction Workers Registered with Welfare Board. (BOCWW)
- Any one of the below mentioned Minority Community :-
Documents Required to Avail Benefits
- The following documents are required to apply for Kalyanamasthu Scheme :-
- Bride and Bride Groom Aadhar Number.
- Certificate of Marriage.
- Wedding Card.
- Photographs of Wedding.
- Birth Certificate of Bride.
- Income Certificate.
- Caste / Minority Certificate.
- 10th Marksheet.
- Father / Mother / Guardians Aadhar Card.
- SADAREM Certificate for Disabled Brides.
- BOCWWB Card Number.
How Women Beneficiary Can Apply for Marriage Assistance
- Eligible Applicant can apply for Kalyanamasthu Scheme through two ways :-
- Online through Navasakam Beneficiary Management Portal.
- Offline through Kalyanamasthu Application Form.
Online Application Application Procedure
- Applicant has to visit Navasakam Beneficiary Management Portal first to apply for Kalyanamasthu Scheme.
- Select Citizen Login from the portal and Click on Login.
- Applicant has to enter the Aadhar Number for OTP Verification.
- Once the OTP verified, Applicant has to choose Kalyanamasthu Scheme from Services List.
- Then the Online Application Form of Kalyanamasthu Scheme is appeared on the screen.
- Fill the Personal Details, Wedding Details and Upload the required documents.
- Then Click on Submit.
- Application Form and Documents will be verified by Ward Welfare Secretary or Welfare and Education Assistant.
- Then the officer will conduct the ground verification by visiting the Bride and Bride Groom’s house.
- Once verified the Application Form will be forwarded to Mandal Parishad Development Officer for further verification.
- Mandal Parishad Officer then forward the Application Form to the Project Director of District Rural Development Authority.
- Then District Rural Development Authority Director will forward the Application for final approval to District Collector.
- Once the District Collector approve the list of final beneficiaries, the financial assistance ranging from Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- according to the Bride Category under Kalyanamasthu Scheme will be transferred in the bank acount of beneficiary.
Offline Application Procedure
- Applicant can also apply for Kalyanamasthu Scheme through Application Form.
- Application Forms are available free of cost in all secretariat office.
- Fill the required details in the Application Form and Attach the documents needed.
- Then submit the Form with documents in Secretariat Office.
- Ward Welfare Secretary or Welfare and Education Assistant then scrutinize the Application Form and uploaded it on the Navasakam Beneficiary Management Portal.
- Once the documents and Application Form of Kalyanamasthu Scheme uploadedon the portal then it will forwarded to Mandal Parishad Development Officer for further verification.
- Mandal Parishad Officer then forward the Application Form to the Project Director of District Rural Development Authority.
- Then District Rural Development Authority Director will forward the Application for final approval to District Collector.
- Once the District Collector approve the list of final beneficiaries, the financial assitance ranging from Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- according to the Bride Category under Kalyanamasthu Scheme will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary.
