Farmers of Telangana will now get yearly financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per acre per year under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme. Farmers having cultivable agricultural land are eligible to apply for this scheme.

Introduction of Rythu Bharosa Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Congress Party announced lots of welfare schemes for the people of Telangana at the time of the election.
• They won the election, and since then Congress Party-led Telangana Government slowly slowly fulfilling their election promises.
• Out of total six election guarantees, the Congress Party fulfilled “Mahalakshmi Scheme” “Gruha Jyothi Scheme” “Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme” and “Cheyutha Pension Scheme”.
• Remaining two promises, which are pending for fulfillment, are “Rythu Bharosa Scheme” and “Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme”.
• Telangana Government launched both the schemes on 26-01-2025 on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day.
• This scheme is implemented by Department of Agriculture of the Telangana Government.
• Rythu Bharosa Scheme is an investment support scheme specifically started for the welfare of farmers.
• The main aim behind starting this scheme is to stabilize the income of farmers so that they can not rely on their agricultural income.
• Telangana Government will provide yearly financial assistance to all eligible farmers to increase their income under this scheme.
• Farmers will get financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per acre per year under the Rythu Bharosa of the Telangana Government.
• Earlier BRS party-led Government also ran this scheme in Telangana with the same name, in which financial assistance of Rs. 10,000/- yearly was given to farmers.
• During the election, the Congress Party had promised to give Rs. 15,000/- per acre per year to farmers.
• But due to financial condition of the State, the current Telangana Government decided to give financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per acre per year to farmers, which is still Rs. 2,000/- more than the previous Government.
• Farmers of Telangana who have cultivable agricultural land are eligible to get this yearly financial assistance under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme.
• Landless Tenants Farmers and Agricultural Farm Labourers will also get financial assistance Rs. 12,000/- per year but under under Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme.
• Owners of Non-Agricultural Land which are used for commercial purposes are not eligible to apply for financial assistance under the Telangana Financial Assistance Scheme for Farmers.
• District Magistrate of the concerned district will have the responsibility to implement the Rythu Bharosa Scheme in their respective district.
• In case of any help of assistance is required about this scheme, farmers can contact their Gram Sabha or Gram Panchayat or District Magistrate Office.
• Farmers can also directly call or meet their District’s Agriculture Officer or Mandal Agriculture Officer for help regarding the Rythu Bharosa Pathakam.
• Eligible Farmers can register themselves by visiting their nearest Praja Palana Centre or Common Service Centre.
• Registration under the Rithu Bharosa Scheme can also be done through the Application Form, which is available in the office of the District or Mandal Agriculture Officer.
• Chief Minister of Telangana released the amount of the Rythu Bharosa Scheme into the bank account of farmers on the 16th of June 2025.
• On the first day, the government disbursed Rs. 2,349.83 crore to 41.25 lakh farmers who hold land extent up to 2 acres.
• Those farmers who didn’t receive the financial assistance under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme will have to wait, the CM further said the entire Rs. 9,000/- crore will be transferred in the bank account of farmers within 9 days.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• All Eligible Farmers of Telangana will get the following benefits under the Government of Telangana’s Rythu Bharosa Scheme :-
  • The yearly financial assistance to Farmers will be provided.
  • Financial Assistance will be provided on per-acre per-year basis in installments.
  • Each farmer will get Rs. 12,000/- per Acre per Year as Financial Assistance.
  • New Ration Cards will also be provided to Eligible People.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per Acre per Year under Rythu Bharosa Scheme of Telangana Government will only provided to those farmers who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria set by Government :-
  • Only Small and Marginal Farmers are Eligible to Apply.
  • Beneficiary Farmer should be a Permanent Resident of Telangana.
  • Beneficiary Farmers should have Cultivable Agricultural Land.
  • Beneficiary Farmer Land should be registered in the Dharani Portal.
  • ROFR Graduates are also eligible to apply for the Rythu Bharosa Pathakam.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Documents that are mandatorily required to be attached with the application form at the time of applying for yearly financial assistance under Rythu Bharosa Scheme of Telangana are as follows :-
  • Telangana Resident Proof or Domicile Certificate.
  • Beneficiary Farmer Aadhar Card.
  • Family Ration Card.
  • Land Ownership Related Documents.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Farmers of Telangana can apply for yearly assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per acre per year under Telangana Government’s Rythu Bharosa Scheme through the following ways :-
  • Through the Offline Application Form.
  • Through the Praja Palana Centre or CSC.

Through the Application Form

• Rythu Bharosa Scheme Offline Application Form can be collected free of cost from the office of the District or Mandal Agriculture Officer.
• Take the Application Form and fill it out without making any mistakes.
• The farmer will have to attach all the required documents the Application Form of the Rythu Bharosa Scheme.
• Submit Rythu Bharosa Pathakam Application Form and all documents in the Mandal/ District Agriculture Officer Office.
• Initial verification of the application and documents will be done by DAO or MAO.
• List of Farmers selected for financial assistance under Rythu Bharosa will then be forwarded to the Agriculture Department for approval and disbursement of money.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per acre per year will be disbursed in the bank account of farmers in installments after final approval.

Through Praja Palana Centres or CSC

• Praja Palana Centres and Common Service Centres across Telangana also provide the facility to register eligible farmers under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme of the Government of Telangana.
• Farmer will have to visit their nearest Praja Palana Centre/ CSC centre along with all the documents to get themselves registered under Rythu Bharosa Pathakam.
• Praja Palana/ CSC Operator will login in the Official Website of Praja Palana and fill out the Online Application Form of the Rythu Bharosa Pathakam on behalf of the beneficiary farmer.
• The operator will scan the documents and upload them to the portal.
• Beneficiary Farmer will have to check all the filled details carefully.
• If all is filled correctly, then the operator will submit the Rythu Bharosa Scheme Online Application Form.
• The submitted Application Form will be forwarded to the District or Mandal Agriculture Officer for verification.
• A list of Eligible Farmers of the Rythu Bharosa Scheme will be made and forwarded to the Agriculture Department for further approval.
• Selected Farmers will receive financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per acre per year directly in their bank account in installments after successful approval from the department.
