Telangana Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme

The Government of Telangana will provide housing site/ land to all homeless and poor people, Rs. 5 lakh for house construction and a 250 Square Yards plot to Telangana Movement Fighters and Activists under its Indiramma Indlu Housing Assistance Scheme. Introduction of Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme is one of the major welfare schemes started by the Congress-led Telangana Government in the State for people.
• This scheme is officially launched by the Government on 11th March 2024.
• The main aim behind launching this scheme is to ensure that no person in Telangana State remains without their own house.
• Telangana Housing Corporation Limited is the implementing agency of this scheme.
• Earlier, the BRS Government had a housing scheme called “2BHK Housing Scheme” in which free-of-cost 2BHK houses were provided.
• On the same note, the Congress Party Government will now provide free housing sites/ lands to all houseless and poor people who don’t have their own house or land for house construction.
• Apart from Free of Cost Housing Land, the Government will also provide Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,00,000/- for House Construction on that land under this Scheme.
• Beneficiaries who already have their own plots and lands for house construction can apply for financial assistance of Rs. 5 Lakh for the construction of a house.
• It is mandatory to build kitchens and Bathrooms in the constructed house.
• There is also a provision of providing 250 square yards of plots free of cost to those people who took part in the Telangana State Movement, popularly known as Telangana Movement Fighters or Activists.
• Only Houseless, Landless and Poor people are eligible to avail the benefits of Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme of the Government of Telangana.
• The selection of beneficiaries will be done by Indiramma Committees at the Gram Panchayat Level and Municipal Ward Level Committee which is constituted by the District Collector on the recommendation of Mandal Parishad Development Officer/ Municipal Commissioner.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can collect the Indiramma Indlu Scheme Application Form from the Gram Sabha or Gram Panchayat or Municipal Corporation Office in order to apply to avail benefits.
• Government of Telangana also launched the Official Website of Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• All Eligible Beneficiaries will get the following benefits under the Telangana Government’s Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme :-
  • Land for House Construction, Free of Cost will be provided to the Homeless.
  • Rs. 5,00,000/- Assistance for House Construction will also be given.
  • The government also provides 250 square yards of Land for a Housing Site to Fighters/ Movement activists of Telangana.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,00,000/- for House Construction and Housing Site under this housing Scheme will only be provided to those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility conditions of Indiramma Indlu Pathakam :-
  • Only Permanent Residents of Telangana are Eligible to Apply.
  • Applicant shouldn’t have his/ her Land or House in their Name.
  • Landless and Houseless persons are Eligible to get Benefits.
  • Activists and Movement Fighters are also Eligible to apply for this Scheme.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Beneficiary Applicant will have to attach the documents mentioned below with the Application Form of Telangana Government’s Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme :-
  • Telangana Domicile or Any Residence Proof.
  • Beneficiary Aadhar Card.
  • Mobile Number for Contact.
  • Ration Card.
  • Self Declaration that the Beneficiary doesn’t have Land or House.
  • Bank Account Details.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for free-of-cost housing site and financial assistance for house construction under the Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme through the Application Form.
• Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme Application Form of the Telangana Government is available without any cost in the Gram Sabha/ Panchayat or Municipal Corporation Office.
• Beneficiary Applicant will have to collect the Application Form first and then fill it correctly.
• Mandatory Documents is required to be attached with  Application Form.
• Application Form and Documents will then be submitted in the same office of the Gram Panchayat/ Gram Sabha or Municipal Corporation Office.
• District Collector constituted Indiramma Committee at the Gram Panchayat Level and Municipal Ward Level, which will verify the received application forms and documents.
• After verification, the list of selected beneficiaries will be published at the notice board and an SMS will be sent to the beneficiaries’ mobile phones to inform them about their selection.
• Selected Beneficiaries who are homeless will get a housing site and Rs. 5 lakh for the construction of a house, those who have a housing site will get only financial assistance and movement activists of Telangana will get 250 Sq. Yards of Plot under Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme.
• Application Status of Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme can be checked by visiting the Official Portal with the help of Mobile Number, Aadhaar Card, Application ID or FSC Card Number.
