Introduction of West Bengal Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme: A Brief Insight
- West Bengal Government announced to launch a new unemployment scheme while presenting the budget for the year 2026-2027.
- The name of the Scheme will be “Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme”. (बांग्लार युवा साथी योजना)
- This scheme will be officially launched on 01st of April 2026.
- The main objective of the West Bengal Government behind launching this new unemployment assistance scheme is to provide monthly financial assistance to educated unemployed youth to support them while they search for employment opportunities.
- West Bengal Government’s Department of Youth Services & Sports is the implementing agency of Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme.
- Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme is an unemployment assistance program under which eligible youth will receive Rs. 1,500/- per month as financial support.
- The government will provide this assistance for a maximum period of 5 years or until the applicant gets employment, whichever is earlier.
- Yuba Sathi Scheme will help unemployed youth manage their basic expenses and continue their job search without financial stress.
- Beneficiary Youth who have passed Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination, are currently unemployed and is in the age group of 21 years to 40 years are eligible to receive monthly unemployment assistance under the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme of the Government of West Bengal.
- If any youth is a beneficiary of any other social security scheme and is receiving financial assistance, then they are not eligible to receive the benefits of this scheme.
- However, youth receiving the educational benefit or scholarship is eligible to enrol underthe Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme.
- West Bengal Government allocated Rs. 5,000/- Crore for the year 2026-2027 for the smooth implementation of this scheme.
- The government started to organise the registration camps across all 294 assembly constituencies where eligible youths can apply for the West Bengal Government’s Bangla Yuba Sathi Scheme by collecting and filling the Application Form.
- Registration of the Yuba Sathi Scheme has started and the Assembly-wise Application Camp will be organised from 15-02-2026 to 26-02-2026.
- So the last date to enrol under the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme is 26th of February 2026.
- Apart from enrolling through camps, beneficiary youths can also register themselves online under the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme by filling 3 step Online Application Form, which is available on the Amader Para Amader Samadhan Portal.
- Government of West Bengal will officially release the amount of assistance under this scheme on 01-04-2026.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- West Bengal Government will provide the following benefits to all educated but unemployed youth under the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme :-
- Monthly Unemployment Assistance will be provided to selected beneficiaries.
- Each Unemployed but Educated Youth will receive Rs. 1,500/- per month directly into their bank account.
- Unemployment Assistance will be provided for 5 years or till applicant gets employment. (Whichever is Earlier)
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Unemployment Assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month will be provided by the West Bengal Government to those applicants who fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme :-
- Permanent Resident Youth of West Bengal are eligible to apply.
- The Age of the Applicant Youth should be between 21 year to 40 years.
- Beneficiary Youth should have passed Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination and be unemployed at the time of Application.
- Applicant Youth should not be covered under any Social Security Scheme of the Government.

Online Application Process through Amader Para Amader Samadhan Portal
- West Bengal Government has launched a Official Portal of the Scheme through which the youths of the state can apply online for Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme.
- The beneficiary applicant will have to visit the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme Official Website and click Application Submission.
- Applicants can only apply for the Yuva Sathi Scheme Online on this portal from 07:00 PM to 05:00 AM till 26-02-2026.
- A list of documents will appear on the screen. Keep the documents handy before applying and thereafter click on “Apply Online”.
- Login on the portal with the help of your Mobile Number, which will be further verified by the portal through OTP.

- An Online Application Form of the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme will appear in front of the applicant’s screen.
- Fill in the Basic Details in the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme Online Application Form as mentioned below in the image.

- Fill in the complete contact details thereafter.

- In the last section of the Yuba Sathi Wb Online Application Form, the applicant will have to fill in the MP or Equivalent Examination Details and Bank Account Details.

- Preview the filled Yuva Sathi Online Application Form, check all the details and click on the submit button to finally submit it.

- Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme Application Form can be collected from the special registration camps known as Swanirbhar Bangla Camps, organised by the Government at all 294 Assembly constituencies of the state.
- The Application Form of Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme can also be downloaded from the departmental website.
- These organised camps will provide a direct opportunity for eligible, educated but unemployed youth to register under the Banglar Yuba Sathi Prakalpa.
- The working hours of Swanirbhar Bangla Camps is 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM till 26-02-2026.
- Interested youth can visit their nearest camp and complete the registration process there.
- The designated officers present at the camps will distribute the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme Application Forms and guide applicants while filling them out.
- They will explain the eligibility criteria, required documents, and other important details to ensure that applicants submit correct and complete information.
- Applicants must attach all required documents to the completed application form.
- After completing the Banglar Yuba Sathi Prakalpa Application Form, the applicant youth need to submit it along with the documents to the camp officers.
- After verification and thorough inquiry, the designated officer will recommend the list of eligible applicants to the District Magistrate for the sanction of financial assistance as promised by the West Bengal Government under the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme.
- Commissioner of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation is the sanctioning authority if the area falls within the jurisdiction of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
- Once the department completes the verification successfully, it will transfer Rs. 1,500 directly into the beneficiary’s bank account.
- Beneficiaries selected for monthly financial assistance under the Bangla Yuba Sathi Scheme will have to submit their status of life, whether the beneficiary is alive or not.
- The government will officially transfer the financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- into the bank account of beneficiary youths under the Banglar Yuba Sathi Scheme on 1 April 2026.
