Introduction of Goa Griha Aadhar Scheme: A Brief Insight

  • Goa Government runs lots of welfare scheme for every section of society so that they can live their life with dignity.
  • Some major schemes of Goa Government are “Ladli Laxmi Scheme” and “Mamta Scheme”.
  • To empower women of State financially by stabiling their income, government started “Griha Aadhar Scheme”.
  • The main aim of Griha Aadhar Scheme is to improve the standard of living of women of Goa State by providing monetary assistance so that they cannot rely on others for their daily need expenses.
  • Women and Child Development Directorate is the implementing agency of this scheme.
  • Goa Government will provide monthly financial assistance to all eligible women under its Griha Aadhar Scheme.
  • All eligible women will get Rs. 1,500/- per month directly in their bank account under this scheme.
  • In the initial phase of this scheme, the financial assistance provided to women was Rs. 1,200/- per month.
  • But due to inflation, Government increased this amount of assistance to Rs. 1,500/- per month on 01-09-2016.
  • From that year, every women of Goa State is getting monthly assistance of Rs. 1,500/- under Griha Aadhar Scheme.
  • Married, Widowed and Divorced Women whose age is 18 years or more are eligible to get monetary assistance under this scheme.
  • Wheras, if the yearly income of women beneficiary family is more than Rs. 3 lakh then she is not eligible to get Rs. 1,500/- per month under this Scheme.
  • Apart from that, Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS) beneficiaries are also not eligible to apply.
  • It is mandatory for a women beneficiary to be a resident of Goa for minimum 15 years in order to avail the benefit of this scheme.
  • Goa Government provides both way facility to women beneficiaries to apply for monthly financial assistance.
  • Online Application Form is available on Goa Government’s Citizen Services Website.
  • And Griha Aadhar Scheme Offline Application Form can be collected by paying Rs. 50/- from Taluka Level Facilitation Centers.
  • Around 1,22,000 women beneficiaries per month will get financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- under this scheme.
  • The other famous name of this scheme is “Griha Aadhar Yojana Goa”.
  • Bharatiya Janta Party also adopted this method to empower women in other states where BJP has ruling Government.
  • In Maharashtra there is “Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana”, in Chhattisgarh there is “”Mahtari Vandan Scheme”, in Haryana there is “Lado Lakshmi Scheme”, in Madhya Pradesh there is “Ladli Behna Scheme” and in Odisha there is “Subhadra Scheme”.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

  • Goa Government will provide the below mentioned benefits to all eligible women beneficiaries of State under Griha Aadhar Scheme :-
    • Monthly Financial Assistance will be Provided to Women Beneficiaries.
    • Women Beneficiary will get Rs. 1,500/- per Month under Griha Aadhar Scheme.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

  • Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per Month under Griha Aadhar Scheme will only provided by Goa Government to those beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of scheme :-
    • Applicant should be Married, Widowed or Divorced Women.
    • Beneficiary Women should be a Resident of Goa for 15 Years or Should be a Permanent Resident.
    • Beneficiary Women’s Age should be 18 years or more than 18 years.
    • Families Annual Income of Women Beneficiary should be less than Rs. 3 Lakh per year.
    • Dayanand Social Security Scheme Beneficiaries are not Eligible to Apply.

Documents Required to be Attached

  • Beneficiary Women will have to upload or attach the below mentioned documents in order to avail the benefit of monthly assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month under Goa Government’s Griha Aadhar Scheme :-
    • Residence Proof of Goa for 15 Years or Domicile Certificate.
    • Beneficiary Women Aadhar Card.
    • Certificate Income.
    • Certificate of Marriage. (If Women is Married)
    • Death Certificate of Husband. (If Women is Widowed)
    • Order of Divorce. (If Women is Divorcee)
    • Voter ID Card.
    • Income and Occupation Certificate.
    • Mobile Number and Email.
    • Bank Account Number and IFSC Code.
    • Verification Form.
    • Life Certificate.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

Through Offline Application Form

  • Griha Aadhar Scheme Offline Application Form can be collected from Women and Child Development Directorate District Office or from Taluka Level Facilitation Centers.
  • Application Form is not free of cost, beneficiary will have to pay Rs. 50/- for Application Form.
  • Take Application Form and Fill the Details correctly without making any mistakes.
  • Attach the documents which are mandatorily required and submit them with application form in the same office.
  • Officers of Facilitation Centers will verify the received application form and documents.
  • List of Women Beneficiaries selected for Griha Aadhar Scheme assistance will be made and forwarded it to Directorate of Women and Child Development for final sanction.
  • Selected Women Beneficiaries will then received monthly assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month under Griha Aadhar Scheme directly in their bank account.

Through Online Application Form

  • Goa Government has also provided facility to women beneficiaries to apply for Griha Aadhar Scheme through Online Application Form.

  • Registration Form will appear in which beneficiary women will have to fill the details.
  • Login with the help of Email ID and Password after registration.

  • Fill the details in Online Application Form and upload all the documents in pdf form.
  • Check the filled details once and submit the application form.
  • Print the Acknowledgement Reciept for future reference.
  • Beneficiary Women can also Check the Griha Aadhar Scheme Application Status Online with their acknowledgement number.

  • Final Approval for monthly financial assistance will be provided by Director of Women and Child Development Directorate.
